While John Lennon had a number of great solo albums, McCartney really only had one and that is Band On The Run. A great album.

Gasp! Bite your tongue, young man! ;) McCartney had tons of great albums!

Sure, Paul has his share of stinkers in his catalog, but McCartney, Ram, Band On The Run, London Town, Tug Of War, Flowers In The Dirt, Unplugged (The Official Bootleg), Flaming Pie, Run Devil Run and Driving Rain are all wonderful albums!

By the way, I voted for Ram in the above poll, Crystals.

Pick "All the Best," but my favorite is "Tug of War," which was not listed.

Also not listed:

Back to the Egg and Press to Play two good ones also.

I think that Ram, London Town and Tug Of War were very good albums, but not quite great. In my opinion that is.

I voted for Band On the Run, but Tug Of War is excellent, too. :)

"Ram," definitely. "Band on the Run" has lost some of its luster for me and is somewhat overrated.

Most of his '70s catalogue is pretty fine, and "Flaming Pie" and "Tug Of War" are quite good, too.

They're good. I just don't consider them his best work.

I think the reason I like McCartney II is because it's so experimental and not typical Paul, I always love it when artists do their "weird expeirmental" phases, I will admit I actually love Neil Young's Geffen years, and that's when most people consider it his nadir (when he flirted with techno, rockabilly and country)
