Does this kid get on anyone elses nerves? I couldn't stand the way he went around with this I'm all that attitude. Then he told everyone he wasn't going to dress up for the football banquet and ended up showing up in a jacket and tie making Beaver look like a sap.

He probably knew he would have to dress up for the event, but he just had to push his ideas on all the other kids like some big shot. Naturally, like always, our boy 'Beaver' fell for it. (lol)
Lucky for him he had Ward for a dad who saw through it,and took along his sport coat and tie.
I would have been grounded for a spell.
Another lesson to be learned at the end of the show as always.

Yes Mijada! He got on my nerves. Let's see, who can we pair him up with so they would deserve each other. Shirley (from the license episode) would have been older than him. Maybe Penny?

True. But taking the cake for ego on LITB was "Duke Hathaway".

Ward -- "Is Mayfield going to have another good team next year, Duke?"

Duke -- "Oh, I don't think so Mr. Cleaver .... I'm graduating."

Did anybody ever see the Frank Sinatra movie 'Suddenly'? The guy that plays Terry plays the kid in that movie.

I haven't seen the movie. How old was he then? Did he have a big part? I just can't picture him in a movie.

Yeah, Duke was really full of himself wasn't he? He could even boss Eddie around and get away with it.

He was also in an episode of the Donna Reed show but he was a few years younger and his voice hadn't yet changed.

This might jog your memory a little.

It stars Frank Sinatra as John Baron, a gunman hired to assasinate the President of the United States while he is passing through a small town called "Suddenly" on his way to a fishing trip. Huh?
Remember, the gunmen break into a quiet home overlooking the town to await the motorcade, holding a number of people prisoners. Holding a rifle with scope ready at the window? ...ring a bell yet? Well,he plays the little boy.
He was good in it. Well acted I thought.

KIM CARNEY WHO PLAYED TERRY, WAS BORN IN 1945, THE SAME YEAR TONY DOW WAS BORN. HE WAS PLAYING A ROLE FOR A MUCH YOUNGER GUY. COULD YOU TELL HE WAS OLDER THAN THE REST OF THE BOYS FROM THAT GROUP?

Thanks for that bit of trivia on the All-Pro QB at Grant Ave. Grammer School. That is funny that he is the same age as Wally.

Hey, maybe he was the big, dumb, Clarance Rutherford type that was held back a few years.

Duke Hathaway..... Wow, what a swinger!

"Well, OK, Boy, let's get with it!"

Wally: "Sure, Duke."
