LOL, Pav, you said you didn't know July... ;) Guess you just found out.

Anyway, not too bad. I need to give it a harder look, but from what I can tell, Bob Newhart only on Saturdays and Sundays? The show expires at the end of August, doesn't it?

Nice to see Three's Company four times a day.

But UGH, why Kids Say? That's such a stupid addition, LOL. Oh well, at least it's only on at 3:30am.

And wow, Carol Burnett now on three times. Brady Bunch twice is good. All in all, a decent schedule, but I'd probably only change the Kids Say thing and replace it with another Happy Days and then the 3rd Carol I'd put a Bewitched repeat. That would be a little better, lol.

The schedule just came in early this morning. Yes, Bob Newhart just Saturdays and Sundays; I guess they are airing it for the last time, unless they renew it after August.

Happy Days is just once, 2:30 AM.

Yeah, as I was going over the schedule I just noticed HD only once. I taped all of Brady Bunch so I don't really watch that or HD anymore.

It's not a bad schedule, actually. What do you think Pav?

I like it. Lots of variety and no Twice as Nice. Three's Company is doing really well -- on four times. Great to see Mr. Ed and Bob Newhart back and Bewitched at a respectable slot.

"Cheers" in only two slots is a good thing. Me and some friends were talking last night about how it has 4 slots on both NAN and TVLand, and how it should be taken off TVLand ocmpletely. "Family Ties" deserves at least three slots, and some good slots too. Great to see TC has 4 slots, but I hope they bump it down to three in August, because I don't want people to start saying they hate TC cause it's overplayed. Great to see "Bob Newhart" back, if only on Saturdays and Sundays. "Kid Say" doesn't much bother me because it's on so late. I think it might just be holding a slot for something else, maybe? "Flip Wilson" has some good slots. I can't wait to see it.

I'm going to miss the Kitschen, but not all too much. It went to hell when they started airing too many superhero shows in it, and then the Krofft shows ruined it. I miss the old Kitschen when it was just hard-to-find sitcoms that are hardly ever seen anymore. The first schedule was two "Mary Hartman" episodes followed by "Fernwood 2-Night" and "The Monkees." I miss MH for sure....:(

And one more thing: TVLand could have had something great with the Fandemonium 48-hour things. The Fandemoniums should only have been for shows that TVLand owns, but are not on the regular schedule. And then, of course, if a show is reaching a milestone anniversary or a cast member dies or something like that.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.

~ Nice to see "Mister Ed" back on
~ Great to see "Bewitched" during daylight again
~ I'm LOVING the "Lucy" and "DVD" at noon - great for lunchtime!
~ Late Afternoon/Evening lineup is a little weak but i'll never be home than anyway
~ Only one airing a day for "Addams Family"?
~ Sad to see "Happy Days" benched to 2:30AM only
~ No reason for "Three's Company" 3 times between 7 and midnight
~ "Kids Say..." is kinda random on there
~ Even though it's only weekends, it'll be nice to see "Bob Newhart" again

Awesome. TVLand's been so boring this past month with all the double takes. Maybe it was getting low ratings? I wouldn't doubt it. Who wants to see four episodes of Green Acres, Andy Griffith, and Leave it to Beaver all in a few hours? Not me. :barf: Now we've got some variety. TC is perfect at 7 and 7:30. It means I can watch it again instead of choosing between that and Roseanne. Cheers should just leave TVLand since it's already on N@N 4 times. Family Ties should have gotten an earlier slot in the afternoon or early evening, preferably the 11PM slot when TC is on, instead of getting pushed back farther and farther into late night. Glad to see AITF and SAS back on at an earlier time. Kids Say I don't care because it's on so late. But overall, MUCH BETTER scedule than the past two months.

I don't think it's right or fair to give TC four airings a day and FT only one. Even Cheers gets two airings. I don't have anything against Cheers, but I'd rather see one episode of Cheers and two episodes of FT on the schedule since Cheers also airs on N@N.

I agree Cheers needs to be off TV Land period. Let it air on N@N and then whe N@N drops it, move it to TV Land.

I'm not happy FT is just one airing again, what whadda ya gonna do? LOL.

I don't think TC on 4 times a day is so horrible, but I think they could either move a 7 or 7:30pm airing or an 11:00pm airing and air Family Ties in one of those slots. I think a few changes could be made to the schedule. The fact is, TV Land will air shows that do well for them in the good slots, while shows that don't pull in the ratings will get bumped. It's a fact we have to live with, unfortunately. At least, as I've always said, Family Ties is still on. I'd rather it be on at a lousy time than not on at all. At least it can be taped.

Surprisingly, I actually like this schedule. The last few haven't been all that great.

--- I'm happy about the disappearance of Twice as Nice.
--- I wish they'd get rid of Gunsmoke or at least one of the two airings. Not a fan of Westerns. Besides, it's already been on for 8 years.
--- Too much Bonanza. I can understand 2 airings since it's new, but 3?
--- I'm glad Mr. Ed is back. I'm not a big fan of it, but it didn't seem like it was on very long.
--- I'm looking forward to The Flip Wilson Show.
--- I'm happy The Bob Newhart Show is back, even if it's only on weekends.
--- I'm glad The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver don't air as often.
--- Aw, I wish The Addams Family still had a second slot. I can understand why they did that though, with them only having two seasons and all.
--- Not as much Green Acres! Yay. I like the show, but it was on too much before.
--- I'm happy about all of the slots Three's Company has, although I'm biased. :D
--- The appearance of Kids Say on the schedule is puzzling, but I don't mind it that much since it's not in a good slot.
--- I won't miss the KitSchen. I liked it when it first started with Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and The Monkees, but it's gone down the drain since then, IMO.
--- I'm glad the 48 hour marathons are gone. It's cool when your favorite show is in it, but it can get boring when it's a show you don't like (such as June's Gunsmoke and Bonanza marathons for me).

So at 1:00am you can watch Cheers on Nick @ Nite AND/OR TV Land?

Good to see some returning shows and lots of variety.

I think Happy Days 1 time a day at 2:30am is kind of weird and Bonanza in primetime and on 3 times day.

Great to see Three's Company at a variety of times and at 4 times a day!

other than that, I'm satisfied with the scheddule. I can't wait to see Flip Wilson, when they showed it before, I was living somewher else and didn't have TV LAND.

And, in regardss to someone else who said they should take off "Gunsmoke",, I read on another website that TV LAND plaanss to keep airing it as long as possible:D :D

Nice to see the new Saturday schedule of TV Land Moguls, ET in TV Land, 60 minutes interviews.

I'm looking forward to the Alf marathon. It still puzzles me to no end why N@N never bothered to get it. Didn't it do well for them in 2001? I realize Hallmark had it for a while, probably through 2002 or something, but it always surprised me that N@N never got it.

July looks so-so.

What's Cool:
Flip Wilson (I've seen it before but I'll watch it again)
Alf Marathon (Although it'll probably be the same damn 5 or 6 episodes N@N always showed)

What's Not Cool:
No KitSchen (I'll miss it. Although, I didn't like it with the superheroes. Those shows were dull. If they had only stuck to short-lived sitcoms.... Maybe it'll be back in August or September?)

- ALF’s Hit Talk Show
Wednesday, July 7
10:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
TV’s popular alien makes his triumphant return to prime time, this time as host of a half-hour television talk show. Premiere episode guests include Drew Carey and Dennis Franz. Executive Producers are Paul Fusco (ALF), Burt Dubrow (The Tom Green Show, The Christopher Lowell Show, Jerry Springer). An ALF marathon will follow from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM with classic ALF episodes.
Encore airings: Thursday, July 8 8:00AM (Mr. Ed at 8:30am); Friday, July 9 5:00PM; Saturday, July 10 8:00PM (Addams Family at 8:30PM); Sunday, July 11 12:00PM; Monday, July 12 2:00AM (early July 13); and Tuesday, July 13 11:00AM.

I can't wait until the talk show and the ALF marathon. It's a shame Nick-at-Nite never bothered to pick ALF up.

Pros
The Bob Newhart Show!!
ET in TVLand
Flip Wilson
Mister Ed
more Carol Burnett
ALF's Hit Talk Show

Cons
Bonanza in primetime
And with The Dick Van Dyke Show COMPLETELY on DVD by June 29th.... I (and many others) have no need for it to air in syndication, replace it with something else.
And, as one of the biggest fans of Cheers, stop it before overkill sets it!! Seriously, dont put it on TVLand, leave it with N@N and DVDs.

Changes I would make with the schedule....

7:00PM The Brady Bunch (replace "Three's Company")
7:30PM Happy Days (replace "Three's Company")
8:00PM Bewitched (replace "Bonanza")
8:30PM I Dream of Jeannie (replaces "Bonanza cont'd")

12:30AM The Bob Newhart Show (replace "Cheers")
1:00AM Three's Company (replace "Cheers")

2:30AM Mister Ed (replace "Happy Days")

I like that Mister Ed and Flip Wilson is coming back and their seems to be more variety this time. However I don't like the changes that take place after 12am. Family Ties cut back and Cheers at 12:30am and 1:00am instead of 12 and 12:30. As a previous poster said, does that mean that Cheers will be on at 1am on both networks now? I love Cheers but that will drive me crazy trying to figure out which episode I want to watch more...

You just shouldn't even try to like or become attached to a TV Land schedule because it will change before you even know it.:(

And whose bright idea was it to ever air Kids Say... on TV Land or N@N? That is so dumb.

I wish they would show Sonny and Cher variety hour. That can be done in one weekend maybe. I was very surprised to see Alf's new talk show. I known about it for some time and was beginning to think it wasn't going to come on. I can't stand westerns. Wish the love boat would come back on. Jeannie is in an alright time slot but bewitched needs to have two epsiodes since it had alot of epsiodes. Nice to see Mr. Ed back and three's company at a good hour. I love Andy Griffith but I am sick of the way tvland shows it. They hardly ever show the black and white epsiodes anymore. The Jeffersons needs to come back to tvland. They should also show the Odd Couple. And bring back welcome back kotter and gomer pyle. Don't know why they won't show all the Carol Burnette epsiodes. I'm mostly watching for the mama's family skits. I think they have gone back to the beginning. Tvland kitchen went downhill when they started showing shows no one heard of maybe.

Damn, I wish I could've seen it. :( I had never heard of it till recently, when it was named one of the top 25 cult shows ever by TV Guide. I've read a little about the show, and it sounds very intriguing. I don't think I'll be seeing it anytime soon, if ever...

On a more upbeat note, I'm definitely looking forward to the Alf stuff coming up on TV Land. :)

MHMH was part of the original KitSchen line-up when it premiered in June 2002. TV Land aired it for around 3 months and showed the first 35 episodes before stopping. They brought it back for a month in December 2002, which was the last time they ever showed it. They also aired episodes of its spinoff Fernwood 2Nite and aired the first episode of Forever Fernwood (a continuation of MHMH without Mary) in August 2002 as part of the Norman Lear birthday celebration.

I really miss it, and I wish some network would pick it up. I was happy when I saw it on TV Guide's cult classic list. It was definitely a wonderful show.

Everything Sean said is basically right. MHMH was one of the most hilarious shows I have ever seen and I would love to see it again. Lifetime aired the first 13 episodes back in the early 90s (either the first 13 episodes, or they just aired it for 13 weeks). The show made 325 episodes (it aired from 1976-1977 in first-run syndication Monday-Friday), and it heralded as one of the most cultlicious shows ever. IIRC, when TVLand originally planned to take the show off, a group of fans sent a some flowers to TVLand, begging them to keep the show on, but they took it off anyway.

It's okay, I don't know about Kids Say... and I liked watching Family Ties twice, they should've cut off the other Cheers and not the Family Ties. I'll get used to it though.

Is it going to be the Art Linkletter Kids Say or the Bill Cosby Kids Say? Does anyone know?

Bill's version, guaranteed.

But, OH, do I wish it was Art's version. Now THAT would be something

Yea but Bill's version isn't a classic...it's from 1996. I would think that since it's TV Land they would show Art's version. But whatever, I want to see Bill's version anyway, I'm trying to find a certain episode. Thanks

Bill's version is from 2000. NAN's aired it before (when they still considered themselves a classic TV network), so I'm positive that it's Bill's that is coming to TVLand. If it were Art's, I'm sure they'd give it better slots and some kind of welcome marathon.

Sad way to see The Jeffersons on TV Land, but we must watch to honor Weezy:

TV LAND CELEBRATES THE LIFE OF LEGENDARY TELEVISION, FILM AND STAGE ACTRESS ISABEL SANFORD

Santa Monica, CA, July 12, 2004 - TV Land will honor the life and work of acclaimed television, theater and film actress Isabel Sanford with a six-episode presentation of The Jeffersons on Wednesday, July 14 beginning at 8 p.m ET/PT. Sanford, who passed away in Los Angeles on Friday, co-starred in The Jeffersons - one of the most popular and ground-breaking sitcoms of all time -- as Louise Jefferson, the acerbic but loving wife of George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley).

"We are all deeply saddened by the passing of Isabel Sanford," explains Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Isabel's portrayal of Louise Jefferson is just one of the many contributions that she made to the entertainment world, and we cherish the legacy she left behind."

TV Land has selected six of the most memorable episodes from The Jeffersons to showcase on Wednesday evening, ranging from the series' first episode, "A Friend in Need," to Sanford's favorite, in which Sammy Davis Jr. guest stars -- "What Makes Sammy Run?" Additionally, TV Land will begin airing a 30-second tribute spot to Sanford immediately.

Sanford, who was born in New York, secretly worked as a nightclub performer in her teens against her mother's wishes. When she won 3rd prize in an Apollo Theatre amateur contest, she finally revealed the truth to her mother. She later took a full-time job at The New York City Department of Welfare and spent her evenings acting at The Harlem Y and The American Negro Theatre, and eventually made it to the Broadway stage in James Baldwin's The Amen Corner.

It was in the early 1960s that she packed up her family and decided to head to Hollywood. Her breakthrough role as Tillie, the faithful cook in Stanley Kramer's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in 1967 led her to land several guest roles on shows like Bewitched, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Mod Squad. She also was hired for several guest spots on The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1969.

Sanford is best known for her portrayal of Louise (Weezy) Jefferson, George Jefferson's level-headed wife, a role which she originated on All in the Family as the next-door-neighbors to The Bunkers. Their characters were eventually spun off into their own show in 1975 with The Jeffersons, as George's business took off and the family moved into a luxury high-rise apartment in Manhattan. The series remained on CBS for ten years.

Nominated for seven Emmys, Sanford won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on The Jeffersons in 1981, and was the first African American to win in that category in the history of the awards. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe five times. She received a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in January 2004.

Sanford is survived by three children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The episodes in TV Land's Jeffersons marathon are as follows (all times ET/PT):

8 p.m. #1, "A Friend In Need"
The Jeffersons, inspired by characters created on All in the Family, have left Bunkerville for midtown New York and their own series. The Jeffersons new affluence is creating marital mayhem between Louise and George, especially when George insists Louise hire a maid to take care of their new Manhattan high-rise apartment. Not only does Louise reject the idea of having a maid, she's also upset by George's snobbish reasons for wanting one.

8:30 p.m. #55, "Louise vs. Jenny"
The trouble with being a mother-in-law is that you start acting like one is the lesson Louise learns the hard way when she and Jenny start fighting over Lionel.

9 p.m. #56, The Marriage Counselors
After learning that Tom and Helen are taking a course on how to improve their marriage, and seeing their results, Louise tries to get George to take the course with her. However, George refuses to consider the possibility that their marriage could use improvement.

9:30 p.m. #101, "Louise's Reunion"
When Louise finds out about a new clause in George's will, she almost gives him cause to use it.

10 p.m. #148, "And the Doorknobs Shined Like Diamonds"
Louise learns her old home in Harlem is being torn down and takes odd for a late-night visit to the house and a poignant rendezvous with the memories it contains. Louise sees herself as she was as a child, as a teenager (when she first knew George Jefferson) and as a bride-to-be.

10:30 p.m. #218, "What Makes Sammy Run"
A star-struck Louise inadvertently becomes Sammy Davis, Jr.'s last line of defense in his battle to find some peace and relaxation away from fans and a hounding sleazy tabloid reporter. Sammy Davis Jr. Makes a special guest star appearance as himself. GS - Sammy Davis Jr.
**(This was Isabel Sanford's favorite episode)**

Too bad they're not showing the episode where Louise goes to her former employer for a donation for the Help Center. Louise takes the high road even though the woman she used to work for still treats her as if Louise is beneath her. An excellent episode.
