Has it always been confusing to anyone else on why TV Shows are switched to one

network from another? Family Matters from ABC to CBS, Taxi from ABC to NBC, Different Strokes from NBC to ABC. My question is what is supposed to happen once the show airs for the first time on the new network? Is something magically supposed to happen?

Im not sure why, but Im glad they do.

If a show doesn't get a proper farewell anyways, might as well get as much out of it as possible.

This always happened because one network cancelled the series and the other picked it up. The magic was for the people working on it...they still had a job!

These days with one company owning many cable and network channels, you will probably see the switches as part of their commercial "positioning."
