I was hoping that his show would be cancelled. :D He is a no talent himbo who got lucky with American Idol. Thats the only reason he got his own show. I notice he would always have someone from American Idol on his lame show. I'm glad someone came to their senses and said, Seacrest out.
Good Riddance, pretty boy!

Sorry for those who wanted to believe this, but it's not true. From the official On-Air site:

I agree, Seacrest ASSUMES people tuning into his show are AI fans... guess what, there are people who AREN'T.
You never see assumptions on Carson Daly's talk show that the viewers automatically are fans of TRL.
Plus, Ryan's show was structured too much like TRL instead of a real talk show. I'm glad he's cancelled, it's the first step towards the American Idol backlash

I never really get to see the show locally here in Monterey/Salinas largely because it isn't syndicated here so I have to watch the show over on WNYW Fox 5 in NYC. That is one thing why it really sucks. However, I still get to see Good Day Live at 12 PM on KCBA Fox 35 in Salinas/Monterey! However, I think they should put a new co-host for Jillian Barberie doll. I will miss her!:(
According to TV Week, "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" has been cancelled, effective Friday, September 17. Here's the article and a link (you do have to register, so I'm not sure that the link will work). This comes soon after a large station group decided not to renew the show.

Twentieth Television has decided to end runs of first-run strip "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest." The rookie strip will continue to air until Friday, Sept. 17, but production staff was notified in recent days that the series would not continue into a second season. Season to date, the series has averaged a 1.0 rating nationally with a 0.6 score in adults 18 to 49.
In a statement, Twentieth said: "We are very proud of the effort that has been placed into 'On-Air with Ryan Seacrest.' Our goal was to produce a high-quality show that differentiated itself from other programming and provide viewers with an engaging and alternative source of entertainment. We believe we accomplished this goal. It was our desire that the program would appeal to a wide array of viewers but unfortunately, the marketplace's response was not as strong as we had hoped."
Earlier in the week, Sinclair Broadcast Group said "Seacrest" would be dropped in more than 20 of its owned-and-operated stations.
Mr. Seacrest said in a statement, "I am proud of my team, who worked tirelessly every day. I wouldn't have changed anything about this entire experience and I look forward to building my business within Twentieth Television."

Yes, it got pulled from most of the FOX O&O's this week. The last episode will air 9/17/04. Not a bad show but then again not very good.

it's pretty bad.
Oh, and I would assume that fans of Last Call are TRL fans, as last call is terrible, so it must be capitalizing on the TRL audience (well, that show is also terrible, but popular)

I used to listen to Ryan years ago on Star 98.7. I have to say though that he seems to have changed after getting the AI job. I'm not saying in real life, because I don't know him, but just the way he acted sometimes on tv. He just seemed fake and TRL-ish. I'm not a fan of the new TRL, Last Call, and On Air. Like someone else said, I also felt like the show would be canceled early.
