There has been two sitcoms i been analyzing since the Month of March since they are in syndication again and after watching these two shows, both are not recordable just something to watch on TV. These sitcoms are

Mork and Mindy
Laverne and Shirley

I can't buy them on DVD? Man. Do I have your permission to continue buying Cheers seasons?

Actually, Laverne and Shirley had the reverse effect on me. When it first came to lifetime, I would watch it casually. About 2 weeks ago, I finally started to get into the show and started taping it.

2 sitcoms I like but never record:
That 70's Show
Family Matters

That's all I can think of cause I usually tape most of the shows I watch.

I'm the same as you - I watched L&S casually, but now I'm going to buy the 1st season when it comes out this year. :D

is it money wasted if the person buying it will get hours of enjoyment out of it? Now if you hate Cheers, but buy the DVD just to say you own it, then I suppose it's a waste of money

I agree, I actually think TBS/N@N is trying the next wave of "tv show on DVD" deal.... by permanently tattooing each episode in your brain by showing it so many times, if you decide "I wanna watch episode #63" (not sure which one it is offhand), all you have to do is channel that part of your brain, lol.

I totally disagree. If these shows have fans then they are definitely worth recording. In fact, I like both shows a lot and have them on tape.

The only eps of L&S that i want in my collection are UNCUT eps or Original ABC broadcasts. Recording the show from Lifetime is pointless.

aren't you the person who said that Facts Of Life should never come out on DVD because >>>YOU<<< wouldn't buy it? If "if these shows have fans then they are definately worth recording" counts for a show you like but someone else doesn't, then shouldn't it also work vice versa?
