Diana's performance was shaky in the beginning, but she picked it up by the end. What did Simon say to her?! i didnt hear, my brother was being loud

George's performance was okay, for the 4th week in a row.

Here's how I have it...

1)Fantasia (It was a tough choice between Fantasia and Latoya, but I love Fantasias high pitched voice better.)

2)Latoya London (Did very good tonight. She sang like a true professional)

3)Diana DeGarmo (Good, but not the best)

4)Jasmine Trias (Good, but not the best)

5)George Huff (I think George is in big trouble.).

Ah..that was the best episode of this season yet! I love that style of music, especially in broadway. So anyway...

Diana- OMG I loved it! The first song (I'm almost sure) is from this play I saw a little over a month ago called Crazy for You. It's my new favorite of hers! She was amazing and I hope she makes the top 3! Maybe even WIN..but we all know something's gonna happen in the end to make someone else win, and we all know who...

George- Good, but I wanted him to sing something more upbeat. I liked his second song the best though. His voice sounded classy.

La Toya- Okay, as much as I hate to say it, she was awesome tonight. She's got such a high range and she was actually entertaining.

Jasmine- She was good, but I think she was the weakest tonight. She's my 2nd favorite (Diana's first) altogether, but I just thought after how everyone else was stunning (maybe not George..) she just could have done a little more.

Fantasia- The first song was great, but the 2nd one kind of bored me. Her voice sounded great in both though.

VOTE FOR DIANA, PEOPLE! And Jasmine too to keep her in!

I'm so mad!! I only got to hear Jasmine and Fantasia, but they both did great, IMO!

La Toya was by far in a way the best tonight, and she's my pick to go all the way and win it. I hope she does...everything about her is classy. :nod:

Jasmine was my second favorite. She just seems to be getting better and better every week, and I think she'll probably be #3.

Fantasia was good, but overall, I can't stand her. The only performance of hers that I went crazy for was "Summertime."

George is confusing me. Yesterday, he sang "Take Me to the Pilot" sooooo well, so he obviously hasn't lost it, but he hasn't been doing as well as I hoped he would do. Oh well...*shrugs*

Diana was just okay, and I think she'll be the one to go tomorrow. ohno: She just isn't in the league that the other 4 are in. BTW, who's been dressing that girl? Her gut was hanging out! Doesn't she look in the mirror? :eek:

1) FANTASIA - 10 *'s She did awesome. Fantasia is so cool!:D

2) Diana - really good, strong performance's. She's growing on me, have to admit it.:p

3) Jasmine - Liked her 2nd song, the first wasn't the best tho.

4) LaToya - Good, just not the type of singer I like.

5) George - I hated his performance.*ducks* Nothing against his fans or anything, but he is getting progressivley worse.:o

There's five contestants now. If they each did only one, there would be a bit of time left. It was at around this point in the competition last year when the contestants did two songs.


It has just started so I'll state my opinions as the show goes on.

The girls rocked tonight. Am I the only one who thinks George did good? The girls were better, though.

Fantasia- The best. She is overall the best in this show. she has a great voice, she is comfortable on stage, she has tons of personality, and she gets the crowd involved. Her performances are outstanding.

Diana- Has the same qualities as Fantasia, but I like Fantasia's voice alittle bit more. But there's no doubt about it that she belongs on stage.

Latoya- She has a wonderful voice, but she lacks the crowds attention, and she lacks personality compared to the two above. I still feel like I don't know her as well as the rest of them. She seems to hide alittle bit. She's starting to come out of her shell, but its alittle too late, I think.

George- I really like him, but he hasn't been doing as well the last couple of weeks. I think his number is almost up.

Jasmine- Is the least favorite of mine at this point. Her performance tonight was good, but not great.

Was it me, or was Paula wearing too much makeup tonight? Anyways, it was not a bad night overall. I still wonder how John Stevens would have sounded doing "Someday" or "Someone to Watch Over Me."

My Rankings

1. La Toya- She showed once again that she is the best singer in the competition.
2. Diana- Her first song was weaker than the second, but she finished strong.
3. Fantasia- Once again, you couldn't really complain about her performance.
4. Jasmine- As Simon said, it was pleasant. I liked her songs and she did alright, but she might not have enough juice in her voice compared to the other remaining girls.
5. George- George was absolutely mediocre tonight. He did nothing impressive with his songs.

Now for the useless and inaccurate predictions. (Season record 2-5)

Bottom 2

Jasmine- She hasn't given us the super-strong vocals for an entire performance in a while.
George- He's proving he's the motown version of John Stevens. He might be a one trick pony because we haven't seen anything outstanding from him in weeks.

Voted Off

Jasmine- I think George deserves to go, but he will take the votes of girls who voted for John, leaving Jasmine, weakest of the remaining girls, out on the street.

I just watched it this morning and here are my opinions.
Diana did AWESOME! I loved her pretty voice!

George did ok, and I liked his songs.

LaToya did really good, just like always.

Jasmine did a pretty nice job, but hopefully she'll be save tomorroww

Fantasia did an excllent job too!

It was good, but I was hoping that more fast and upbeat songs wouldve been sung. I was really hoping somethnig from 'Chicago'.. oh well. Diana did really good lastnite. Everyone was good, but Fantasias performances didnt exactly bring me to tears.

That's what i've been saying. She's put on several pounds since the auditions and semi-finals.

Anyways, there is nothing wrong with Diana's weight. Her wardrobe could be better though. I don't care if Ruben is morbidly obese and needs to lose much more than what Diana does. It's ridiculous the type of stipulations that the media tries to convince teen girls that they have to look like. And it's not just superficial guys who fuel this stereotype, girls are just as guilty.

No, but even though Ruben is the American Idol, Clay Aiken's career after the competition has been much more successful. The American Idol competition and the recording industry are two different ball games

Yeah but she gained that weight within the past few months. She was rather thin during the auditions.

Of course Jasmine hasn't gained weight. Look at her parents.. they're both short and her mom is petite. Look at Diana's mom. It's called genetics. Diana can easily gain weight while Jasmine doesn't.

As for this whole thing about Diana's weight...

I think that she'd probably look great if she didn't wear such awful clothes. I wasn't "judging" her on her weight...I was judging her based on how full of herself she must be to look in the mirror with those outfits on and thinks she looks just fine. :o If she wore clothes that would flatter her, I'd probably have a higher opinion of her. Okay...you can all yell at me now. :D

Full House Fan, your sisters are probably being mean. In another year, your body will have a different shape. Most 11-12 year old girls have a rounded stomach. It will flatten out as your hips widen. I know it's probably hurtful, but try not to let them get to you.

Diana is not fat. She is also not skinny. I happen to think she looks amazing. Shes a beautiful girl and her size is what I would consider to be normal/average. Yeah, she could wear some more flattering clothes, but who cares? It's a singing competition! And if people are voting against her just because of her weight, then you're no more to blame for the people who voted for John Stevens because he was the 'cute boy who loved his Grandma'. I agree with Jeff in everything he has posted- its all true.

As for the comment Leah posted about Kim Locke and her weight- I totally agree. Yeah, she wasnt skinny-mini, but who cares? She was just as good. And look at her now- shes lost a little over 20 pounds. She didnt do it for the show, she did it for herself. If she had done it for the show, she wouldve looked very superficial, IMO. She even said she didnt do it for Simon. If she had, she wouldve been popping the pills last season. Shes just found a healthier way of living. Good for her. Same goes for Josh- he was in my US Weekly and he's dropped some pounds since the show and looks amazing. You should never lose weight to look good on TV, you should do it for yourself and for the right reasons.

As for Simon not mentioning to Diana about losing weight, I think he hasnt said anything to her because she is only 16 years old. He knows girls that young are already self-conscious enough, and saying something like that to her on national TV can be very humiliating, especially if shes really bothered by it herself. Im sure she's noticed shes gained a couple of pounds since the beginning- she can tell just by the difference in clothes so she doesnt need Simon telling her to lose some weight.

But exactly, her goal in this show is not to look the best you can be. its to sing to the best of her capability.

and slightly off topic, but not too much. dianas always been one of my faves, but in the beginning, when she was in the bottom 3 those 3 times, i was really worried about her!! but im so glad that diana fans have been doing their job! shes been safe for 3 weeks straight!
