I got a totally different feeling after watching that. I really believe that if they knew it was over they would have had them getting engaged. I dont think you end a show like this on a downer like that.

Uncle Albert and Admiral Halsey, RVSockz74, why'd you have to scare the General Jackson out of me like that? (Pardon my language!) I saw the topic heading and thought that "I'm With Her" had been officially cancelled! I didn't see the sesaon finale (I taped it, because I was watching something else), but I had a feeling it wasn't going to have a happy ending. Nick Lachey will do that to you. As I understand it, "I'm With Her" has a fifty percent chance of renewal, so the decision could go either way. But don't say it's over until ABC decides the show's fate!

I didn't see it - didn't want to, after hearing what a downer it was. And now that "I'm With Her" is over, I'm assuming that Chris Henchy knew the show was going to be cancelled, so he decided to finish "I'm With Her" before ABC finished it for him. :(

Sorry, but why was the ending a downer? How did the show end?

alex and patrick sorta broke up, then alex took a movie in some other country (patrick didn't know she went), and then patrick went to alex's house with flowers and an engagement ring and when he went he found out she left to do the movie...hope you could follow that lol

ABC promoted that episode as being the one in which "America's favorite romance" comes to an end. And it sure did! :( ABC must have known even then (April 27) that there'd be no second season.
