Mee too... mee too. I thought, "Alright! We've talked about Queen a little bit ago, now let's talk about Yes."--Whateva.
So, SBTBprincess715 tell me about this concert coming up? Will Hilary be singing live? :)
Man. I was hoping this was a thread about prog-rock gods Yes, but instead I have to read about a little girl. Talk about a letdown...

No, you're not. The Beach Boys no longer exist. You'll be seeing a sad, awful old man who was once a member of The Beach Boys try and pretend his existence in the group mattered. He'll be joined by hack backing musicians.

You're seeing The Beach Boys? Wow! Do you have a time machine?
Brian Wilson - not part of the farce
Carl Wilson - dead
Dennis Wilson - dead
Al Jardine - not part of the farce
So who does that leave us with? Mike Love and Bruce Johnston? I hope you bring lots of tomatoes.

Brian Wilson has patched things up with Mike Love! Wow! Dennis and Carl have come back to life to get together and Do It Again. That's incredible.

This (http://www.beachboysband.com) is what she's really seeing this summer. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I wonder what Brian thinks of them. Thats like the Doors without Morrison. Oh wait the Doors are still playing right?

Brian's been decidedly non-confrontational in the last ten years or so. It doesn't seem like he speaks his mind very much, or he masks his true feelings to save those of others.
I was taken aback when I first watched the Endless Harmony DVD, and Brian said that "Kokomo" (which he wasn't a part of) was "great." Surely he didn't mean that.

I wished I could have gone to see Yes in Seattle the other week,
A great band. There's always Rush in July...

I'll be seeing Rush in June. Haven't seen them since around 94-95. My youngest (6) loves them so I'm taking him to his 1st concert. Next time Yes is here we'll be seeing them too.
And one of my fave Yes tunes is Awaken off of Going for the One. Awesome keyboard work by Rick Wakeman and awesome Guitar work by Steve Howe.

I have nothing against Hilary, but let's compare notes...
Yes--In the music business 30+ years, highly, highly influential for alot of today's musicians, shows no sign of slowing down.
Rush--In the music business 30+ years, highly, highly influential for alot of today's musicians, shows no sign of slowing down.
I'd be curious what Hilary Duff will be doing in 30 years.
