Season Three-8 Simple Rules

Ep1: Today is My Day:
Cate decides to treat herself to a personal day, but can't seem to relax and enjoy herself. She recieves a call from Jim saying he and her mom have reconciled. Bridget walks in on Rory in the bathroom, and is moritified to see what he was doing. Bridget and Rory avoid each other, meanwhile Kerry tries to find out what happened.

Ep2: Moving Back:
Cate and the kids learn Jim is moving back in with Laura in Florida. The family bid farewell to Jim as he boards the plane. C.J. learns he has flunked out of college, and in fear of telling Cate, he begs Jim and Laura to let him move in with them in Florida, surprisingly Jim lets him. Kerry thinks Kyle is cheating on her.

Ep3: Hennessy Women:
Cate, Kerry, and Bridget attend a weekend at a spa resort, where Bridget finds her calling-to be an employee at a spa resort. Meanwhile, Rory and Missy throws a party, but when the party gets out of hand, Rory calls Kyle to break up the party. Kyle accidentally tells Rory's mom and sisters about his houseparty.

Ep4: The Recruit:
As captain of the pom-rai squad, Bridget recruits girls for the pom squad. After learning the lack of girls signed up for poms, Bridget begs Kerry and Missy to sign up. Kyle and Rory are caught making sexist jokes by their girlfriends, Bridget, and Cate.

Ep5: Life's Golden Children:
After learning Rory has made the basketball team, Cate is overjoyed and absent-mindedly ingores Kerry and Bridget's accomplishments. Kyle reveals to Kerry that the thought of her on the pom-rai squad, makes him so much hotter for her. Kerry feels hurt in a way because of Kyle's comment.

Ep6: Bridget Blunders:
Bridget learns being class president is more work that she would ever thought. Bridget debating resigning or not. Cate gives Kerry a part-time job at the hospital as intern.

Ep7: Games And Boys:
After blowing off a date with their girlfriends, Kyle and Rory go to a college basketball game. Bridget and her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy are assigned to be partners, sparks begin to fly.

Ep8: The New Daughter:
With her three kids off on other missions, Cate struggles with the household chores, but recieves help from Missy. Being jealous of Cate and Missy's newfound friendship, Bridget, Rory, and Kerry scheme a way to break the friendship.

Ep9: Artistic Designs:
Kerry is chosen to paint a mural of whatever she wants on a billboard in downtown Detriot. Kerry begins to panick, with the deadline creeping up on her and she has no idea of what she wants to paint. Cate recieves a phone call from Florida saying CJ is engaged.

Ep10: Gorgeous Lilies:
Cate enters herself into a contest about who can grow the best bunch of flowers. Cate gets Kerry, Kyle, Rory, and Missy involved too. Meanwhile, Bridget and Jeremy(jonathon taylor thomas) go out on their first date back together.

Ep11: Guy Friend or a Guyfriend:
The kids spot Cate at a coffee shop with a guy (ted mcginley), who she claims to be a friend and nothing more, but after hearing all the things her kids mention, Cate rethinks what happened.

Ep12: Second Date or Second Thoughts:
Cate is asked to go out to a movie with Jeff (ted mcginley). Cate is unsure of what to say until her kids give her permission. Rory hygiene habits takes a tole on his relationship with Missy. Rory takes some advice from his sisters on how to win back Missy, which works.

Ep13: Grubby Greens:
The Hennessy kids have a run-in with the grubbiest kids in town. Bridget is asked out the eldest kid, Joe Green. Kerry and Rory are asked to hangout with the middle and youngest kids, Jon and Jack Green. The Hennessy refuse both offers. The next day at school, the Greens told the whole school that the Hennessys accepted their offers. But when they told people the truth, they were all known as stuck-up and snobby. Cate and Jeff continue to go out, where Cate learns Jeff is a widower and has a teenage son.

Ep14: The Meeting of Clans:
Jeff and Cate plan a meal for themselves and their kids in hope of the kids getting along. When the families meet, Bridget and Kerry learn that Jeff's teenage son is David Fuller-the hottest kid in school. Bridget realizes that she once kissed David back in 6th grade and wonders if he even remembers it at all.

Ep15: Close Encounters:
To show their parents that they get along, Rory, Kerry, Bridget, and David plan to hangout sometime with Missy and Kyle. Jeff and Cate take their relationship to the next level.

Ep16: Dance Your Heart Out:
Bridget, Jeremy, Kerry, Kyle, Rory, Missy, and David attend the school dance, where people confuse David as Bridget's date and Bridget as David's date. Cate and Jeff decide to have sex, but end up just cuddling, due to them both feeling uncomfortable.

Ep17: Love Letters:
Rory and Bridget come across Kerry and Kyle's love letters and find them hilarious, but when Kyle and Kerry find out they are furious. But Bridget catchs a poem to kerry from kyle is the same poem he wrote to bridget when they were dating..Which causes some conflicts between Kerry, Bridget, and Kyle.

Ep18: Pondering In Love:
Cate and Jeff ponder moving in with each other and each other's kid/kids. Meanwhile, Kyle and Kerry debate on breaking up over the poem thing, but theres only one other person who can save their relationship---Bridget!!

Ep19: Moving In and Moving Out:
Jeff and David out of their house and into the hennessy home, Jeff in Cate's room and David in Rory's room. The families try to manage a system-especially bathroom time in the morning with two teenage girls. Bridget saves Kyle n Kerry's relationship, just in time. But her relationship with Jeremy once again slips down the crack.

Ep20: Hawaii Sweet Hawaii:
Jeff gets a free, all expense-paid trip to Hawaii as a Christmas bonus. Jeff, Cate, David, Bridget, Kerry, Rory, Kyle, and Missy take the trip to Hawaii. Just before boarding the plane back to Detriot from Hawaii, David, Rory, Kyle, Kerry, Missy, and Bridget watch Jeff propose to Cate, she accepts Jeff's proposal.

Ep21: Engaged By Jeff:
Jeff, Cate, and the kids return to Detriot all happy and giddy. Cate and Jeff make it a habit of telling all their family and friends the news, except some don't take it that well. Bridget becomes jealous of Kerry and Kyle's relationship, as she looks back and realizes she helped theirs as she wrecked hers.

Ep22: Unapproved Parents:
Jeff's and Cate's parents dont think they should get married or even move in together. Which makes them frustrated. Rory and Missy get a week of detentions for stealing extra fries in cafeteria. Bridget learns David and Kyle are planning a guys night out on Kyle and Kerry's 2 1/2 month anniversary.

Ep23: Broken Promises?:
After learning Jeff's thoughts about obeying his and Cate's parents by not marrying, Cate is hurt and offended and refuses to explain why. David walks in on Bridget in the bathroom.

Ep24: Unreal Truths:
Missy gets advice from Bridget on sexy lingerie not realizing its for Rory. Missy and Rory tries to have sex, but can't seem to find the right way of doing it. Kerry and Bridget caught in traffic with kyle and David must get home in time before Rory has sex with Missy, as they notice Cate and Jeff in the car next to them on their way home.

Ep25: Can't Be True, Can It?: part one of three
After coming home from a dinner and a movie, Cate, Jeff, Rory, and Kerry walk in on Bridget and David having sex on the couch. Everyone is disgusted by this: Jeff and Rory take David out and explain that that can NOT happen again. As does Kerry and Cate with Bridget.

Ep26:Can't Be True, Can It?: part two of three
Bridget and David both tell Jeff, Rory, Kerry, and Cate that they do love each other and want to be together and argee that Jeff and Cate should not marry nor date anymore. Cate and Jeff, still mortified, decide to go to therapy for help. Kerry and Rory tell Missy and Kyle about Bridget and David, which makes the two angry. Bridget takes a home pregnancy test, and waits for the results alone and scared.

Ep27:Can't Be True, Can It?: part three of three
Bridget finds out shes pregnant with David's child. The whole family (jeff, cate, david, kerry, rory, missy, and kyle) finds out and are stunned and shocked. Jeff decides he and Cate shouldn't marry, but Cate confesses she still loves Jeff. David freaks about being a teenage father with his dad's fiancee's daughter.

Ep28: Hard To Handle:
Without wanting to cause anymore stress onto her mom, Jeff, and David, she decides to break up with David. But Bridget accidentally breaks up with him harshly over the phone where she's at the doctor's office just before her scheduled appointment with the doctor, who is going to get her an abortion.
(Only shows main characters: Bridget and David in this episode).

Ep29: Fears, Ropes, and Tears:
After being broken up with, David feels useless. While doing a normal daily load of laundry, Cate spots David hanging from a rope in the basement. David committed suicide, he hung himself in the basement, while Bridget is still at the doctor office.
(This episode is showed right after episode 28 and shows what happened after Bridget's break up over the phone. Bridget doesn't appear).

Ep30: Bridget Returns To The Mess:
Bridget comes home to see Cate, Rory, Jeff, Kyle, and Kerry mourning over David's death, the family tells her what happened. She freaks and ran away blaming herself. Cate gets a call from Bridget's doctor wanting to talk to her about the billing about her abortion. Cate stunned, tells the family that Bridget got an abortion. Kerry, Kyle, and Rory go after Bridget.

Ep31:Finding The Sobbing Blonde:
Kerry, Kyle, and Rory find and talk to Bridget and talk her into coming back home. Bridget still feels guilty and liable. The kids comfort her. Cate and Jeff deal with David's funeral arrangements. Bridget can't seem to let go that it was her break up that brought him to suicide.

Ep32: Can't Face Him:
At the funeral of David's, Cate is reminded of Paul, Jeff is reminded of his first wife and now son. Bridget cant face Jeff, she tries but just breaks down crying. Bridget gets a huge speech at the service which brings everyone more tears. Bridget apologizes to everyone who loved David and who knew David, especially Jeff.

Ep33: Disowning Your Parents:
After hearing Jeff's parents blame Bridget for David's death, the family is at an uproar. But Cate, Kyle, Rory, and Kerry aren't as furious as Jeff is. Jeff tells off his parents and sticks up for Bridget and decides to continue his engagement to Cate, which makes the family much happier.

Ep34: Visit From In-Laws:
Cate, Jeff, and the kids are surprised by the sudden visit of Paul's parents, Jack and Peg Hennessy. Cate explains to Peg and Jack that she's engaged to Jeff. Peg is stunned to learn her daughter-in-law is engaged to another man, 2 years after her son has died. Jack gives Rory a hefty check for being his favorite grandchild, which causes Bridget and Kerry to get mad.

Ep35: Jeff's Loyal Buddy:
As Cate, Jeff, and the kids see Jack and Peg off to the airport, Jeff is spoted by his old college roommate, Keith Sullivan (Drew Carey) who needs a place to crash for a couple days. Jeff and Cate argee to let him stay with them, until Bridget, Cate, and Rory caught him stealing from the Hennessy home.

Ep36: Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties:
Jeff asks Rory to be his best man, as Bridget and Kerry fight over being Cate's maid of honor. Cate's sister, Maggie (Cybill Shepperd) appears and this time with her formerly ex-husband, but now husband, Ted Richardson (Ted Danson). She also wants to be her maid of honor, since she was in Japan when Cate got married to Paul.

Ep37: The Grand Ole Day Of Marriage:
It's the day of Cate and Jeff's wedding. The guest lists include the groom and bride, Rory, Bridget, Kerry, Maggie, Ted, CJ, Laura, Jim, Peg, Jack, Jeff's parents, Jeff's brother and his family, Kyle, and Missy. At the reception, Jeff's parents (Bob and Carol), Cate's parents (Jim and Laura), and Paul's parents (Jack and Peg) all argue and whcih leads to chaos at the reception.

Ep38: Honeymooners:
Jeff and Cate go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. All the guests went back home, except for Maggie, CJ, and Ted. Kerry and Bridget ask Ted, Rory, CJ, and Kyle to go check out the basement after hearing a loud crashing noise-it turned out to be a mouse. The guys try to caught it.

Ep39: The One With Suzanne Somers:
Cate and Jeff return to learn that Paul was once married before Cate. Suzanne Somers stars as Suzette Livingstein, Paul's ex-wife. Suzette visits to pay her respects to Cate and the kids, she claims she couldn't face them after he died, so she waited awhile. Kerry is furious to know her dad was divorce and never told about it.

Ep40: The New Troublesome Friend:
kerry meets this new kid, Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan, Mean Girls) at school and decides to become her friend. Bridget becomes jealous of Cady always being with Kerry, instead of Kerry being with Bridget.

Ep41: Life With Same Friends:
Bridget decides to give Cady a chance, but ends up really liking her. Bridget instead being jealous of Cady, she's now jealous of Kerry. Kyle and Rory are asked to donate blood at school, but refuse.

Ep42: Crazy Siblings:
Cate learns that Kerry and Bridget are fighting over a friend, but can't stand the bickering and yelling. So, Cate asks them to both hangout with Cady together. Kyle gives Rory advice to take the next move on with Missy, who's been hinting signs for a while.

Ep43: Tiny Dreams, Big Breasts:
Kyle notices the increase in size of Kerry's boobs, which enhances Kerry getting upset. Kerry is disgusted that Kyle likes her boobs more than brains. Missy listens to Rory's future dreams(like careers, marriage, family, etc)

Ep44: Concert of a Lifetime:
Cady gets tickets for herself, Bridget, Kerry, Rory, Missy, and Kyle to attend this Outkast concert, but Cate and jeff forbid them to go on a school nite, but the go anyway. Cady and the gang are offered drugs and alcohol at the after party, Bridget, Kerry, and Cady get hammered at the party and Kyle, Missy, and Rory must drag them home without anyone knowing theyve been drinking.

Ep45: The Truth About Cady Heron:
Kyle learns Cady has slept with Kyle's older brother, Chris (the stoner/pothead/burnout). Kyle tells Kerry and Bridget, who tell Cady. Cady confesses she use to sleep around until she was diagnosed pregnant, and got an abortion. Bridget tells Cady she had an abortion too.

Ep46: Getting Out:
Somehow, Cady's past sexual history gets out at school. Students at school give Cady and Bridget crap about getting abortions. Kyle, Kerry, Rory, Missy, and other close friends try to help their cases and stick up for them.

Ep47: Chosen Lifestyle:
Cate and Jeff are confused on why Cady's parents are soo leaniant and not strict. Kerry and Bridget learns that Cate has called Cady's mom and told her to become more strict on Cady, which causes tension between them and Cate, them and Cady, Cady and her mom, Cady and Cate, and Cate and Cady's mom.

Ep48: Jeff and his "Sons":
Jeff takes Rory and Kyle on a fishing trip and really bonds well with them. They come back with "inside jokes" and "men-only conversations", which gets on Kerry's, Missy's, and Cate's nerves.
Cady and Bridget argue over who gets to buy this one certain dress knowing both can't buy it, but end up not being able to buy it afterall.

Ep49: Soccer Chicks:
Kerry and Cady sign up for soccer, which leaves Bridget out and makes her feel out of place. So, Bridget decides to join the team, but become too "girly" to play. Being rejected, Bridget searches for other friends to hangout with. Bridget bumps into Regina George, Gretchen Weigners, and Karen Smith (all from Mean Girls). Cate takes a personal day again, but ends up being bored, so she goes to work anyway.

Ep50: The One With An Anniversary And A Beginning:
Cate and Jeff celebrate their one year anniversary, on the same night as Kerry and Kyle remincise their first couple dates. Rory and Missy after a party decide to sleep together and they ending doing it.

Ep51: The One With Rory Being Perky:
Rory is soo chipper after having sex with Missy, it bugs everyone. But Cate, Bridget, Kerry, and Cady try their best to find out why he's soo happy. Yet Kyle and Jeff know why right away from their past history of their first time. Jeff and Kyle take Rory aside and the three men discuss their first times of having sex.

Ep52: The Shocking Announcement:
Bridget recieves a letter from UCLA saying she got accepted there. Bridget being soo happy, tells everyone (Cate, Kerry, Rory, Jeff, Kyle, Cady, Missy, Regina, Karen, and Gretchen) that got accepted. Kerry, Cady, Rory, and Kyle decide to throw her a party inviting Jeff, Cate, themselves, Bridget, Karen, Gretchen, and Regina. Cate is happy for Bridget, but sad that she might move to California.

Ep53: Life Throws 'Em Fast and Hard:
Missy fears she may be pregnant, but is scared to tell Rory. At the hospital, Cate oversees Missy's name on an appointment for a pregnancy test and is just as scared if not more. Rory is the last to know that she might be pregnant. The whole parent gather in the home to await the call from the doctor with the results-its negative.

Ep54: Mourning In the Morning:
Cate recieves a bouquet of flowers from "Paul" on her 45th Birthday. The kids vaguely remember Paul ordering flowers to be sent to Cate on her 45th birthday like 6 months before he pasted away. Cate, Bridget, Rory, and Kerry mourn over the lost of Paul.

Ep55: Men Are Pigs:
Cate, Kerry, and Missy team up against Jeff, Kyle, and Rory about how men are pigs and sexists. The "feud" began when the girls noticed how their guys stared at some perky, young beauties on the beach. Cady, Karen, Bridget, Regina, and Gretchen decide to go to a strip joint for women.

Ep56: Sorority Girls:
Bridget, Gretchen, Karen, Regina, and Cady visit a sorority house and try to get into the sorority. Kyle and Kerry walk in on Rory and Missy having sex. Kyle thinks its funny and that he is proud of Rory, but Kerry is soo grossed out and is stunned that Kyle approves of them having sex when Rory and Missy are yunger than them and themselves haven't even had sex yet.

Ep57: Sorority Results and Insults:
At the sorority house, only three out of the five are chosen: Gretchen, Bridget, and Cady. Karen and Regina are hurt that they didn't get into the sorority. Karen and Regina were turned down, because of their GPA's not being high enough and that would bring down the whole sorority's budget fund from the college. Gretchen, Cady, and Bridget on the other hand are glad and excited. Kyle accidentally calls Cate old and soon regrets it.

Ep58: Senior Skip Day:
Bridget, Gretchen, Cady, Karen, Kyle, and Regina have senior skip day and the six plan to pull a prank on Principal Gibb, by filling his car with dirt, but it turns out to be not dirt, but cow-manuer and it turns out to be not Mr. Gibb's car afterall. Kerry gets a B on a chemistry test and freaks out and crams for the next test and ends up being too tired and ends up falling asleep while taking her test and not finishing and gets an F on it.

Ep59: Graduation:
It's Graduation Day. Cate, Jeff, Rory, Kerry, Missy, other friends, other parents, and other relatives attend Bridget, Kyle, Cady, Regina, Gretchen, and Karen's high school graduation. At Bridget's high school graduation party at the house, Cate and Jeff give Bridget some luggage for her trip down to UCLA. Kyle tells Kerry that he isnt going to college for a year, so he can be with Kerry for another year and so they can go to college together. Bridget, Cady, Karen, Regina, and Gretchen are pumped to be all going to UCLA.

Ep60: Hardest Thing Is Saying Goodbye:
Cate, Jeff, Kerry, Rory, Kyle, and Missy see Bridget off to the airport with Gretchen, Cady, Regina, and Karen. The five friends board the plane and get to UCLA. Regina and Karen end up becoming dorm roommates, Gretchen, Cady, and Bridget move into their sorority house. Bridget, Gretchen, and Cady promise Regina and Karen that at least once a week and on weekends all five girls will meet up somewhere and hangout together like old times.
Episode closes with Bridget laying in her bed on her first night, looking at a picture of her dad and says, "Hey look Dad, I am in college. Thanks for believing in me. I love you daddy always and forever."
