At this point giving a great performance isn't enough. Charm and Charisma will make the difference.

Simon's words about the divas battling it out couldn't have been truer. I actually think JS is going home next week. The show is going to be receiving hell from Jennifer fans, and no matter what, they're gonna work to get him out.

Although I'm happy that Jennifer went (out of LaToya and Fantasia).. even though she has been the most improved out of anyone, like Kim Locke was last year.

but in all honesty.... George and John Stevens deserved to be the bottom 2. and im so sorry if im offending anyone, but i'm very upset that LaToya (the best singer) was in the bottom 3 AGAIN, with Fantasia, who's also really good. But aah, me complaining about John is already too much so i wont complain directly about him. However George was one of my faves, but i hate how people have been voting him to safety after 2 LOUSY performances!!! but i just have to say, that if people continue making this into a popularity contest, it will ruin AI *runs and hides*. I guess we'll see George and John doing some Spanish Pop next week with Gloria Estefan (rumored theme).

but whoa, even Paula admitted about him surviving due to popularity votes. On Ryan Seacrest's show one day, Paula talked about how it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out who's doing good and bad (refrerring to John's "my girl" and "crocodile rock"). And on ET tongiht, she said that John should go home because shes not up to par with the others. And also when Ryan asked for her opinion tonight of the bottom 3, Paula said "maybe all the JPL votes went to John". I would be better off if all the John votes had been given to JPL.

That was definitely shocking. I was never a huge Jennifer fan, but she had a really great voice. John Stevens has been annoying me lately. He keeps on ruining chances for people. Well...sorry you feel that way. Really I am- but around here things have been tough lately because first of all there are lots of JPL fans, and I personally (being one of them) think that John should have gone last week. I mean, between him and JPL, IMO JPL was the better one. Then tonight he was safe- and caused a really talented singer, Jennifer Hudson, to get voted out. It's not that he's not talented, because he definitely is. But on American Idol- you need to be able to sing many different styles of music. And well, he can't. He can only pretty much stick to that old-sounding stuff...like what he performed on movie night.

Well...thats obviously how the producers planned it, lol. They knew George would go over to the divas and not the little teenagers, and it would fool the rest of America too. And I didn't notice them pulling him over to them, but well, I probably would have done the same if I were one of those 3...shh.

Or are they gonna force them to do English songs by Latin singers, like umm..She Bangs, or Waiting for Tonight or something like those.

Oh and if any of you were wondering, I asked because I would love to hear Diana sing in Spanish, but that's just me.

Wow. I watched lastnite and for some reason, I wasnt all too suprised when the 3 'divas' were bottom 3. Im one who believes the show is sometimes 'tampered' with, so my theory was that the producers wanted to get rid of one of the 'divas' to narrow down the competition. I dunno. Jennifer bugs me anyways, and I for one was happy to see who top the 3 were -.-

Paulas right though about all of JPL's votes going to JS.

I also thought it was really mean for Ryan to make George go to the group he thought was top 3. Yah, naturally he was going to go to group A, but it was really rude and a slap in the fase to group B. I dunno, now I personally think he'd just be better off going. He's only 16. When you're 16 you take things a lot more personally than a 25 year old. And week after week- he gets negative comments. No matter how hard he tries, he just can't seem to please all of the judges completely. He can only take so much...I feel really bad for him. I hope next week is the end for him, it would just be much better off that way.

IMO, John doesn't deserve to leave. People just like to bash him because he's not like all those other "power" singers who scream in their songs. :/ Being honest, I'm sick and tired of people yelling in their music. Just 'cause you're loud doesn't make you great. :lol: I think John has a nice refreshing voice. Even tho I don't think he'll win AI, I'm really proud of him. I'm glad to see something new. :)

Being different though does not automatically make him good though. He has minimal range, awful performance skills (snapping, eyes closed, scrunched up eyes/nose), no emotion, no personality. He was barely ok for the top 32 ( I was shocked he got through to Hollywood) but he's clearly out of his league now.

You know, I disagree. I like him and his voice. He's a really great change from a bunch of girls yelling in their songs and getting praise from the judges'. Also, you don't know him, you don't know that he has no personality. And he certainly isn't emotionless. :rofl: It all depends on taste. I like him because I think he has a good voice. He probably thinks hes good, but he just can't take the competition anymore. He's only 16 and everyone is so rough on him. Especially Simon. All his comments toward John always make him look like dirt next to the DIVAS like LaToya and Fantasia. He's hurting and you can definitely see it in him.

well, if he thinks he's good why is he reported as saying "It should have been me" when Jennifer left? I just think that he (or George Huff) should have gone instead of Jennifer, I've come to like her, despite me disliking her in the beginning. She did great and JS did bad and him having a shy or sweet personality doesnt make up for it, but that's JMO.

Because he knows he doesn't have one of those big strong voices that the judges (especially Simon) love so much..and his voice isn't like that so I guess he's just given up hope or something which is probably why he said that.

Well...I think he thinks he should come off because he knows he sings bad...sorry but to me, he's just so boring, and with all the controversy Im seeing around the Jennifer/JS thing, hopefully he'll be gone next week....my opinion.

Oh no, I agree with you. He should definitely go next week. If not, I'd give him 2 more weeks at the most.
