Jenny From The Block - J. Lo... how funny that J. Lo didn't even write the song that proclaims that with all her possession, she's still Jenny from the block.
Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Looking For Her Hand In The Snow) - Yoko Ono... I love Yoko Ono and get ticked off when people (especially those who can't get over the fact that John and Paul grew apart) rip on her, but this song alone gives her entire career the negative stigma it unfortunately gets. 5 minutes of Yoko screeching, screaming and moaning, too bad these people who bash her after hearing this tripe have never heard any of her great songs.
most of today's faceless "new rappers", ala Twista, Chingy, 50 Cent, J-Kwon, etc...... none of you guys will ever be 2pac so don't even try. It is just way too much right now, there's as many faceless flash in the pan rappers out right now as there were one hit wonder alternative groups this time a decade ago
Take My Breath Away - Jessica Simpson. A nice power ballad destroyed
Macarena - Los Del Rio. Do I need an explanation?
most of the "new" pop-punk groups except Good Charlotte, you guys simply aren't fun like the 80's and 90's pop-punk acts were. When I was 16-17. I loved this stuff, but today's new groups just aren't as fun. I do enjoy Good Charlotte but I consider them more "power-pop" than punk
Would You Mind - Janet. she successfully outslutted Madonna with that song. The nadir of the worst album of her career.
the entire Tin Machine era-David Bowie. Thank god he's rebounded since then. I have all of Bowie's albums and the 2 Tin Machine albums are his least listenable of all, even crap like Tonight and Never Let Me Down both have spots of brilliance on it. These 2 albums were pure snoozers. At least he's been back on track for the past decade.

"Someday" and "How You Remind Me"--Nickelback

That's what I could think up off the top of my head, but I'm positive there's more.

Yeah, isn't that awful? I couldn't believe it when I heard her remake of that song. She sounds like she is shouting the whole way through.

Oh my God, is that whom I've been hearing on the piped-in music system in the discount store in which I work singing this song (I could tell it wasn't Berlin)? I never liked this song to begin with but, Jessica Simpleton's version is much worse!

Okay, here are my ten worst.
10. Delta Dawn - Helen Reddy
9. Escape (the Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes
8. Something Stupid - Frank and Nancy Sinatra (lives up to the title!)
7. Like a Prayer - Madonna
6. Cruisin' - Huey Lewis and Gwneth Paltrow (WHAAAT??)
5. Ring My Bell - Anita Ward  (I hated disco after hearing this!!)
4. Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd (JUST KIDDING!!)
4. Sugar Sugar - the Archies (diabetes-inducing!)
3. Don't Cry Out Loud - Melissa Manchester
2. Justify My Love - Madonna
1. You're Havin' My Baby - Paul Anka
Attentive readers will note that Madonna is the only performer to appear on this list twice! (Though, to be fair, I could have easily filled this list with ten cuts from William Shatner! :D )

why do a lot of the "teen pop princess" (Raven, Hilary) fans hate Good Charlotte so much? And don't use "they suck" as your reasoning.
I know plenty of people in their 20's, and even a few in their 30's who actually like Good Charlotte's music. They're a fun little power-pop band who write catchy little numbers. On the other hand, I don't know any adult besides parents forced beyond their will (as I do have a friend whose daughters are Hilary fans), who would be caught dead listening to Hilary Duff. I'd say Good Charlotte definately has the ability to last longer because they appeal to adults just as much as they do kids.

Yeah, I'm 20 and Good Charlotte is one of the few mainstream groups I'm a fan of lately. They definitely have the potential to last, as long as they continue with good material, which they are definitely capable of. They're not some manufactured artist with clichéd backgrounds and insipid lyrics. And I like how you refer to them as power-pop. I don't think of them as punk either.

How about "Rapture," where Debbie Harry raps about a Martian extraterrestrial who consumes automobiles and saloons, then starts eating guitars?

I agree. I have been outspoken that I do not care for hip hop, but I'm shocked at how bashed Outkast is in here.. they are one of the few bright spots in an otherwise repetitive genre IMO

I'm sorry, but I cannot stand "Rock & Roll Hoochie-Koo" by Rick Derringer. The second I hear that beginning guitar, I change the station. It's played on alot of the classic rock stations and it seems like it's a favorite among the listeners. Not with me.
I've heard Jessica Simpson's "Take My Breathe Away", but I never liked Berlin's version, either. Give me "Metro" anytime!!
Life is a highway--Tom Cochran(I think). If you don't mind, I'll stay on the surface streets.
My current song that I positively can't stand is from, I think, Nickelback. I don't know the title, but the 1st line, he sings(if you want to call it singing), is "I like your pants around your feet(or ankles, or something like that). Another song where the second I hear that 1st line, I change the station. I'm sorry if I offend any Nickelback fans, but I haven't heard anything I like from this band, most especially that song.
