View Full Version : Do you think American Idol was rigged on April 15 when JPL got off?

Me and almost all of my friends think that the night JPL got booted off, it was RIGGED! It really was, because they're are sooooooooooooo many more fans of JPL than John Stevens! IMO, John Stevens did good last week, but JPL was way better!

In your opinion, do you think American Idol was rigged last week? Yes or no? Either answer in my poll or in a reply.

PS- Sorry David and Leah, I don't mean to post too much!

Dude, it wasn't rigged. I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that it was probably just a case of JPL fans thinking he was safe but underestimating it.

One question: Why can't you let this go? He was going to be voted off sooner or later and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Number one: I'm a girl, not a dude.

And your other question: I'm trying to let it go, but I just can't. I know he was gonna get voted off sometime, but it was just too soon last week! He should have been out (if he didn't win) like in the final 3 or 2.

You vote for the guy 300 times and you complain about it being rigged?

Everyone should only get one vote.

I couldn't vote for him 300 times. I only voted for JPL 41 times because then my Dad told me I had to go to bed because it was almost 10:30.

So many people assume safety, leading to surprise eliminations. The biggest occurence of this happened in season 1. There was a girl named Tamyra, and it was obvious that it would come down to her and Kelly in the finale (with Kelly winning of course  ), but in the top 4 round, her fans assumed she was safe and assumed that she didnt need any help, and ended up getting cut to a girl who was in the bottom 3 for the fifth time (Nikki). Nikki was good though.

I felt the same way when Kim Caldwell was voted off last year when she was. I'm sure that Aikencompany3 (I don't remember his first name) was steaming when that happened, as he is a big fan of hers. Kim was my absolute favorite and I thought her dismissal was too early much like you believe JPL's departure was too soon. But I had to move on and hope that she would get a record deal. I did hear that she is working on one. There may be one American Idol but that doesn't mean that it's the end of the road for the other 11.

Eh..I dunno anymore. I guess it was fair and people were assuming his safety...but I just find it really weird that the two times in the competition Simon said it would be someone's last week, (Leah and Camile) he was magically right...hm. And when I tried voting at around 10:45ish I got excessive busy signals, and I always vote around that time and can always get through. But I thought that was only me. Apparently not...on idolforums people are saying they either got excessive busy signals, no one picking up at all, or when they called JPL's number, it would say they voted for someone else. A little odd, don't you think?

Leah and Camile were not that good. Their elimination was no suprise.

The bottom four in my ranking from week 1 are out. Amy Adams departure was the only suprise for me.

NO! I'm getting tired of all the JPL topics. Just make one thread.

Sorry! I'll go post somewhere else about JPL. I know it's annoying all you JPL haters.

I agree with Kristina. I've always felt the show was somtimes 'tampered' with. Like they say, not all reality shows are real!

It's David :)

But yeah, a lot of people expected her to atleast make the top 5, but she ended up 7th. It was shocking, and i was like "wow, she didnt even make the halfway mark" . However, Brian's right, you dont have to be the winner or in the top 3 to become big later on. Kim is working on an album, and im sure JPL will not go away any time soon. His fanbase is HUGE, and so many people love him

It's not that we are "JPL haters" its just that its been almost a week now and all the rest of us are getting tired of the JPL topics.

:yeahthat

I like JPL but I don't like to hear about him ad nauseum. I mean, you (FullHouseFan8795) have posted 53 topics over the last three pages: 21 on the first page, 20 on the second, and 12 on the third. It pushes everybody else's topics down. It wouldn't be half as bad if you made a thread for miscellaneous information, comments, and questions that are JPL-related. As a matter of fact, I think it would be better if you did that.

If this comes off as mean to you, well I couldn't think of any other way to put it. I just had to say it.

That definitely had to be said. It was long overdue.

I promise, I will not do very many JPL threads anymore. If I do, it'll just be once a week.
Sorry everyone! I am REAAAAALLLLLLLLY sorry for irrating you! I didn't mean to.

Yeah, something else that struck me as somewhat odd is what he said on UPickLive.

Candace- "So what do you think it the best thing you've learned from American Idol?"

JPL- "Make good friends with the producers."

hmmmmm

But, on another note....seriously I am a huge JPL fan, but the constant threads are ridiculous. This is not a JPL only board.

When is it NOT rigged? They took a pretty good show and ruined it.
