So why was this kid disqualified? I started watching AI2 around when...Kim Caldwell got voted off I think. So I don't know, and I've read about it a lot before but it never explains why so I was wondering if any of you knew. Thanks :)

I think he got disqualified because he had been arrested previously

He was kicked off because he was to appear in court on the same day that Idol was to air (Disco week) for charges of beating up his own sister!

Yep. (at least I think that is it) I read that she was still allowed in because she was upfront with the producers about it and did community service, I think, to have it expunged from her record.

I was surprised that Corey Clark even made it as far as he did. Anybody remember him before the Semifinals? It was a joke. He and two others wasted their time in Hollywood instead of rehearsing their song (it was the thing where three auditioners sing together). The three didn't get any practice and flubbed, butchered, and blew their song, Kiss From a Rose, to death. I don't remember if the other two in the trio made it to the Semifinals.
