Hi:

Does anyone know what the first series was to have been produced in color? As far as primetime shows I'm guessing Bonanza in 1959, but for all series I'm guessing The Adventures of Superman which went color around 1953.

Thanks

The Cisco Kid was filmed in color beginning in 1950 but they were shown in black and white during the 1950's.

Wow that's 54 years ago. Was that show syndicated in black and white or in color? I read that The Lucy Show was filmed in color but broadcast in black and white. When a show is filmed in color and aired in black and white is it noticeable? Is it like watching a color show on a black and white TV?

I have no idea. I saw some reruns on CBN in the early 1980's and they were in color.(At least the episodes I saw).
