Don Orville on 3rd Rock. Of all Sally's boyfriends, he was the only one that was either likeable or funny. (He was both.) If Wayne Knight didn't get an emmy for that role, he should have. Of course, the show wouldn't have been the same without Sally, Harry, Tommy, Mary, or Nina either.

Also: Niles and C.C. on the Nanny, Ted Baxter on TMTMS, Niles, Martin and Eddy on Frasier, Uncle Fester on the Addams Family, and Bob, Jake, Linda, and Margaret on Becker. Even when just Bob left, it lost a lot of its punch.

I also didn't like it when they replaced Harriet on Family Matters with a new Harriet, but the show wasn't on long after that anyway, I don't think.

Niles (Daniel Davis) on The Nanny. He is so funny, and he was BORN to play that role (Even if he isn't really British! LOL!) Ted Knight/Ted Baxter is also one, as well as Valerie Harper on MTMS.
