George Huff - Yah, I wasnt impressed. I love George, but that was a bad song choice.

Jennifer - Man, why did I like it so much?! :lol: I cant stand her, but she keeps doing better each week! Argh! LOl

JPL - :faint: Oh. My. God. I was in Heaven from beginning to end. That was the best. My 2nd fav. from his by far (right after Little Less Conversation). Dude, he NEEDS to do more Elvis... that was amazing!!

Diana - Gaaaaaawd why did she have to choose that song?! I hate that song with a passion. She did good though.

Fantasia - I wasnt that impressed, kinda bored me. But it was pretty. I cant believe Randy said that was the best performance on any AI ever! :faint: Nothing beats Clays 'Bridge Over Troubled Water.' Nothing. But Im partial.:p

Jasmine - She was good.

John Stevens - Wow! Perfect song choice.

Its gonna be a close one tomorrow night, theyve all done pretty well.

This week was pretty much a toss up. The only one who stood out for me was Fantasia. She is the one to beat as far as I'm concerned.

The rest were good, but they were all equally good. With the exception of Jon Peter Lewis and John Stevens who are in my bottom 2.

One note about Jon Peter Lewis is that even though his singing is amaturish, he does generate excitement on stage. The problem is if he is the next American Idol, he is going to be required to sing things like the National anthem. He is also going to be required to come back next season to perform his first single, and he is going to sound average.

La Toya - Good. She does good each week and Im always impressed.. but I just dont care ya know? Like she has one of the best voices, but shes not my fav. or anything. But she was really good!

Quintin (sp) was really honest! I think he was the best judge so far because he was so honest and he is such an AI fan-- it isnt like he just went on their to give Kill Bill some promotion- he really does watch the show each week.

I think the best part of the show though was Neil Sedeka announcing Clay's single 'The Way/Solitaire' being #1 for the third straight week. :D Go Clay!

I loved everyone except George. Which makes me sad, cos I like him. But I hated him this week.

And if Diana goes, I'll have a cow. My 3 favorites going in 3 consecutive weeks.

JPL - Two words : PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!! His BEST probably, I agree with Crystal on this one. He was the best tonight, he is back, thats the JPL I like!

Diana - Dont like the song she sang, I thought she did good with it though

Fantasia : I usually dont like Fantasia, but she was just awesome tonight

Jasmine : Great performance! I loved it!

John : Just awesome, my 2nd fav of the night, great song choice, great outfit, great performance

LaToya - She was pretty good, I liked her!

AHHH. I'm still in awe of everybody. Not to mention I ran out of tape somewhere in there...hopefully it wasn't during John Stevens's performance, or else, well..I'll do something bad, like cry. :p

But yeah tonight was my favorite night ever. Here's what I thought of everyone.

George- Eh. It was kinda boring, especially compared to his awesome performance last week. He sang the song well but I dunno I just thought it was boring.

Jennifer- Really good. I liked it. Woulda been better if she sang WHEN YOU'RE GOOD TO MAMA KAITLYN *SLAP SLAP SLAP* :p jk

JPL- HELL YEAH!!!!!!! ELVIS IS BACK! YAY for John, I loved loved loved LOVED it! Simon needs to remove the stick from his ass and realize that everyone needs to have fun. Excellent..great...ah I could go on and on.

Diana- UGH. Why did she pick that song?! *SLAPS HER* I mean, she sang it well and all, but that's not DIANA DEGARMO. Diana DeGarmo is upbeat and happy and gets the audience into everything...this was just..well, not her.

Fantasia- I hated the song, and she kind of annoyed me with her crawling on the ground and stuff lol but her voice sounded great.

Jasmine- She did really well! Good song for her. I'll be mad if she goes this week.

John- OMG. :eyes: He looked SO good tonight. SO GOOD. And his hair looked adorable...oh man...he looked like a redheaded angel from heaven. Haha but anyway, it was the perfect song for him. PERFECT. His voice sounded great, he looked great....one of his best performances by far IMO.

LaToya- Really good also. One of my favorite performances of hers, and that's saying a lot considering she's probably my least favorite.

Tonight I am voting my little heart out for well A LOT of people!

Performance wise, Fanatasia was far and away the best. She owns the stage when she's on there and seems to have alot more personality than the rest.

I hated "My Heart Will Go On," by whoever sang it.

JPL was good, but this is his niche. I knew he was going to sing something Elvis from the start of the show.His problem is that every week he's trying something novel. This is fine once and a while, but alot of artists do this to cover for their lack of singing talent. I believe he fits in this category.

I think everyone did well tonight, including John Stevens, but it will probably be his week to go because Camille is gone. This week Simon told him he has no charisma. Last week when he tried something different, an upbeat number, they said it was awful. They always find something to criticize.

Anyway, the one to beat is Fantasia.

Okay, my opinions!

George - Boring. One of my least favorites left in the competition.

Jennifer - Alright, she has a nice voice.

Jon Peter - AMAZING! From beginning to end, I was "captivated!" He is the best, most cutest, sweetest little Elvis dancin' man I ever did see!;) Okay, had a moment there. He is back! Finally. What I have been waiting for. I expect him to have the highest amount of votes this week, and I am voting till my hands fall off...or till 10:00...;)

Diana - poor Diana. She was the only one that did bad tonight, and I really fear for her.

Fantasia - I am a big fan of her's, and although I did not completely get the song, she felt it, and she did well.

Jasmine - Great. She has a good voice, and she showed it off tonight.

John - very good. I am glad that he is back to normal, last week was kinda scarey.:eek:

LaToya - I wish she would get voted off. Simon needs to tell her that she is the one without the personality...rather boring I'd say.:o

George- I'm not too fond of him, but I found this one especially boring.

Jennifer- Wow. She really has some power behind her. Good performance.

JPL- :eek: :clap: :banana: I loooved it! He makes his performances fun, and not so serious. I mean, none of the rest of them can dance and still keep singing like he does. Elvis is definately his kind of style, which is awesome because that appeals to a lot of people. I really had fun watching him.

Diana- Celine songs are pretty hard to do. I really think the only person on AI so far this season who could pull of Celine was Amy Adams, since they had similar voices. This just didn't fit Diana.

Fantasia- I loved this one too. Fantasia is probably my favorite girl on the show. She really put some heart into this performance, and it paid off.

Jasmine- Pretty good. I didn't really like the song, in general.

John- Nice to have John back. This is definately the kind of stuff he was meant to be singing.

Latoya- She has an awesome voice. She did really well tonite, but she kinda is the mysterious contestant on the show. I really don't feel like I know her as well as the other contestants. I think she needs to show off her personality a little more.

I'm glad that JPL did better this week, I have been worried about him. He was my fav in the beginning and I still like him, so I'm glad he improved this week.

I wasn't as impressed with George as I have been in the past, but it was still good. Wrong song choice for him.

Fantasia was great, I just love her voice, I dont know what to think about her sitting on the floor tho.

Diana picked a tough song to sing, the toughest IMO, I give her props for taking that risk.

Jennifer was great, she seems to be getting better and better.

Jasmine and John S., I wasn't blown away, but it was good.

Latoya, She's got a great voice and she does well, but like what Hanna_Lee said, I feel like I don't know her like the others. Maybe she doesn't engage in the audience like the others do, or she just doesn't stand out. I cant quite put a finger on it.

Over all it was a good week for them, they all did good.

Wednesday's Idol was very good overall, but someone still has to go home. I liked Quentin's comment about the people who sang the songs, hit the notes and so on, but in the end "so what?" Despite the solid singing performances, a few of the contestants seem to be lacking the personality to win.

This week's rankings

La Toya- Maybe I'm partial because I love her song, but I thought she was outstanding. She probably has the best voice in the competition.

Fantasia- She sang well, the judges liked it. Not one of my favorites, but she'll survive.

John Stevens- Truly his best performance so far.

Jasmine- It was a solid bounce back evening for Jasmine.

Jennifer- She continues to be solid vocally, but she is still outclassed by La Toya and Fantasia.

Jon Peter Lewis- He was ridiculously entertaining, but still not singing great. Still, this might have been his best performance of the year.

Diana- Simon is right. She is a kid trying to be an adult and it doesn't seem to be working.

George- Finally a bad week for George.
