From VH-1 website they state what
McFly plays for his dad is an untitled song Ed wrote for an earlier movie, The Wild Thing, in 1984. He did the entire score for the Wild
Thing, so try and search for music from that movie.

Not much to go on though.

It's actually The Wild Life- with Chris Penn, Lea Thompson, and Eric Stoltz.

Believe it or not, Cameron Crowe gets a writing credit for this movie.
