The Passepartout-Shelby Series

Since there are hardly ever Jules Verne fan fiction stories that don't focus on Around the World in 80 Days French Valet Jean Passepartout and focus only on Phileas Fogg, Captain Nemo, Princess Auoda, IMOF better give my favorite character his credit due in a romance series of stories:

Shelby was busy writing her weekly internet column for the News You Can Use segment from her own home office in Seymour Tennessee.

Out in the woods of her small but comfortable and cozy one bedroom, one kitchen, one bathroom, and one living room small but very, very, modest apartment trying to meet her deadlines since her columns appear three times in over 100 newspapers.

She was 30, single and loving it, childless though she refers to her political science and news clubs as "her children" when she teached at the University of Tennessee day school twice a week but hardly was at home teaching law enforcement both federal(she has a very low opinion on the feds), state, and/or local law enforcement about 200 days a year, she lives life in a suitcase.

She only has been taking trains since she was afraid of planes due to 9/11 terror attacks that she now is hesistant to take planes.

She doesn't have much of a private life if no private life at all but she reads stuff on the internet and keeps up with the NFL, loves to go to bookstores and libraries in the very, very, little time she has by herself, spends time with her parents, siblings, and their children.

She is like the Anne Rule of her generation having degrees in physcology and criminal justice and teaches law enforcement officials one of the first ever if not THE FIRST class in the country on all law enforcement agencies to get along and not argue over jurisdiction garbage(that is where she got her dislike of the feds) and "play and share with each other's toys.

Then as she was watching tv since her columns on crime and punishment were done in her apartment, she heard a noise, then she thought it was the wind, so she went back to tv watching!! Then as she was exercising, she then heard a knock on her window.

She has three black belts in karate, tae-kwon do, and kung fu and a blue belt in brazailian ju-jitsu, she hated guns because she has had friends killed with guns and won't use them at all!! She then told the person to politely leave or she would call the police on the person.

Then as she heard a THUMP and her kitchen window broke, She yelled "If you aren't out of here, I will give your a thrashing since I know martial arts!! And I can have the police come out here!!"

Then all of a sudden, there was a man who was bleeding profoundly and Shelby saw him have blood and bruises all over the man!! When Shelby saw the man, it looked like he had been hit by a huge tractor trailer!!

He was speaking in a language that sounded like French!! Then he then spoke English in an accent that Shelby thought was a French accent since he is obviously a Frenchman!!

"Please help me madamoselle!!! Please I need help!!" said the beat-up Frenchman
"OK, I hope you are not playing games with me because if you are..."
"No, if I were playing games with her Madamoselle, I wouldn't be here lying bleeding to death!!"
"What is your name please!!"

"I don't know anything about my name and don't know anything except my name is Passepartout!! That is all I know. I was badly beaten by three or four men!! They hit me in the face and punched me dozens of times in le stomach!!"
"Look ok it's just I am very skeptic of people being hurt when they aren't really hurt at all!!"

"Look I want you not to be skeptic!! Please I need help badly!!"
"OK! I will send out an ambulance ASAP!! We will get you to a doctor and get you to a hospital and....."

"No! No! No hospitals!! I don't trust hospitals!! Somebody might be after me madamoselle!! Please I think someone is after me!!!"
"OK, I will call a doctor that is only lives five miles from me!! Will you agree to a doctor at least!! If not, you will give me no choice but to put you in a hospital!!"
"Oui!! Oui!! Yes!! A doctor will be fine!!"

Then Shelby placed a call to her best buds Dr. Ingalls
"Doctor, it is Shelby!! I hate to bother you on a very important conference you have to prepare for in two days but I have a little situation and feel bad to ask for favors since you know I ask for very, very, little favors!!

There is a man hurt and he won't go to a hospital & to make the long story short, he looks all beaten and bloodied like a tractor trailer hit him!! Since you are near could you come ASAP!! This man is badly hurt!! Well, OK thanks!!"
Shelby called and after hanging up, looked at the man!!

He seemed to be in his late twenties and early to mid thirties
Hair kind of curly and unheaveled
Complexion strong
Body, chest, and shoulders very muscularly build and very broad, eyes blue and a mustache
Very, very, french

His clothes were cut up very, very, badly and he was wearing torn-up gray pants with lines, a white dress shirt with black suspenders torn all up, a black coat like a suit coat very, very badly ripped and in his white shirt was looked like a white long overjohns, and black little laced-up boots.

His face was with two black eyes!! Yes two black eyes, a bloodied and broken nose and a bloodied and fat lip!! He was holding his stomach very, very, hard and has held his stomach when he was "introduced to Shelby".
Shelby put a wash cloth with ice on his face & the good doctor came and Shelby showed him "her patient!"

"You know what this means Shelby!!"
"Yeah! Yeah!! Taking over my house!! At least you are not the feds who are jerks!! I several times punched and told the feds where to go and gave a assistant US Attorney a black eye!!"
"Better not give me a black eye or I will slap you with a lawsuit
honey!!"

"OHHHHHHH!! I am so, so, scared!!(pretending to be scared!!)!!" as Shelby left to take a shower while her doctor friend was looking at the injured man!!
She thought that the Frenchman was very handsome despite having a big nose and kind of looking like a young Gene Wilder.

Then Dr Ingalls then told Shelby that the man has several broken ribs and a broken leg and broken arm and a broken wrist. He said that he needs to really rest and take it easy for at least a month and that he would come back in a few days to check up on the man.

Shelby then thanked the good doc and then as he left Shelby then got the injured Frenchman some blankets and some clothes because she had a few clothes for males and would go shopping the next day for the man.

She, with the exception of her parents and siblings and their kids, never hardly ever had company and was shy, quiet, and a person of a few words and still gets nervous when she speaks to prisoners, law enforcement officials, and youth groups.

She then for the very first time in her nearly fifteen years of speaking, cancelled a whole week's worth of book signings and speaking engagements. Caring for a sick man was far, far, more important!!

She then went to the store the next day as the man layed injured on his bed. She got him pajamas, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, and food.

Then three days later, the man, still injured after the doctor and a nurse came to give his leg and his arm and wrist a cast and taken some x-rays of him(had a small machine), he sat up and looked a little much better and Dr Ingalls came by to see him.
"How do you feel son??"

"Oh, I feel much better though really badly injured monsiuer but much better than when I wondered all around the streets here for a four or five days left for dead and the day this pretty young lady came and helped me!!" replied the Frenchman

"Now, I am going to ask you some questions to determine your injuries!! Do you know what happened and how you got injured!!"
The poor frenchman thought for a moment and then he said "No, I don't remember all I remember is I was badly beaten up and left for dead by some men!!"

"How many were they and what did they look like?"
"I don't know since it was too dark and could'nt tell what they look like and/or how many??"

"Do you know how you got here other than Shelby trying to help you out!!??"
"No, I don't remember!! All I remember is that I was beaten up and that I was walking not knowing where I was and came to this woman's apartment!!"
"Do you know what your name is??"

"My name is Passepartout and.....(pauses for a long time!!) I don't remember who or what my name is but all I could hear is that they called me Passepartout but I don't remember if that is my real name or not??"
"Do you know where you live because you sound like your are from France?"

(Pauses and ponders again for a long, long, time!!)"No I don't know where I am from!! I don't remember who I am or where I am from?"
"Do you know where you live??"
"I don't know where I live!! I don't know how I got here!! All I remember is that I was beaten and left to die!!"

"I looked at your clothes and seems like you came here penniless and you looked like you had a tractor trailer run into you!!"
"Look!! You know who you are and I know who you are but I don't know who I am and/or where I am from and where I live and how I got here???!!" The man sat up and almost was in tears and was getting very, very, excited!!"

As he was getting up, Dr Ingalls had to twice sedate the man & calm him down!!
"Rest easy son!! It is good Miss Shelby found you because had not she found you, you would end up in a morgue!! Don't get excited son, rest!!"

"I need to see you Shelby!!"
Then as the doctor led Shelby away and let the poor man rest and go back to sleep. Shelby had a look of worry for the man.
"That boy looks like he has amnesia!! He could had been in the woods and beaten up for more than a week like a whole entire month!! Look at him, he looks like a big and strong man but his mind and heart act like he is a twenty-five pound vegetable!!

He needs a hot bath and a great meal he looks like he hasn't eaten for a whole entire month or more than that!! Please keep an eye on him and I will be back in four days!! He is not going to have to learn who he is and/or where he is from but he looks like he will have to do normal things that we take for granted I am afraid.

Like learn to use the restroom, shower, shave, feed himself, learn the days, weeks, months, years, even learn to walk and even read. He has a special type of amnesia that I am afraid will not go away even if he hits his head on the ground.

He seems lost and confused so he will have amnesia probably for the rest of his life!! I x-rayed him and he looked like his brain was broken in pieces like "Regarding Henry"!! So keep an eye on the boy!!"

"You can count on me Dr!! See you and thanks!! And BTW, good luck on her presentation!!"

"They let me reschedule the speaking engagement because this was far, far, more important and I got it down packed!! I am on a plane to Seattle!! Keep your fingers crossed!!"
Shelby let him out and both of them never had ever seen somebody so injured like that Frenchman or if he was one!! Shelby then attended to her patient!!

Then Shelby went and got the injured Frenchman something to eat like soup!!

"I am going to start you out real slow since you seem you haven't eaten in a very long time!! (Looking into his mouth and seeing three or four teeth broken) Man!! You have had your teeth broken!!"

"It hurts me so bad madamoselle!! I haven't eaten in who knows how long!! Ouch!!(holding his ribs!!)

"Hey! Hey! Partner!! You need your rest Dr Ingells will be here on Friday as soon as he gets back from a speaking engagement!!"
"Well, I don't want to let your husband or boyfriend or if you have both of them(laughing softly)I might go to an early grave!!"

Passepartout trying to make a joke but wished that he hadn't.

"Well, I have neither!! I travel nearly over 200 days out of the year and I write a news column and go to where the news is like criminal cases and other stuff like 9/11??

I don't have much of a private life these days!! It involves work, work, and work and the rare downtime that I have I exercise and watch football, read, go to bookstores and libraries, and just hang out!!"

"What is 9/11??" questioned Shelby's guest
"You never heard of 9/11!!?? The biggest story ever in US if not world history!!?? Oh! I forgot you have a memory loss!!"

Shelby began to think that the man looked like he was from the 19th century by the way he dressed.

"There was like this typical average day on Tuesday September 11th two and half years ago and there was a plane thought to be an accidental plane crash that hit the World Trade Center in New York City.

And it was just thought to have been an accident but then another plane hit and then people thought it was not an accident!!!

Then as the second plane hit the North tower of the World Trade Center, a huge, huge building like the City's Empire State Building and the first hit the South Tower and there when the planes were burning.

And on fire(Shelby's voice cracking)the North Tower fell down like you blow up a building for construction but there were people in the building!!

Then nearly an hour the South Tower came down!! Then in Washington DC, a third plane hit the Pentagon, the place where the US Military and the four branches are from and killed people not on just the planes

But at the Pentagon and then a fourth plane and thank goodness the last plane hit in the sadly forgotten and barely mentioned in the Pittsburgh area!!

In all over 3,000 people on the four planes, the Pentagon, and the World Trade Center were killed by a terrorist group called Al-Queda and led by this billionaire, one of the most wanted criminals and fugitives in the whole entire world, Osama Bin Laden, is still being haunted!!

I just want to grab those terrorist creeps and let all the families of the victims strapped those jerks and beat them until they are brain dead!!(Shelby's voice still streaky and her eyes in tears!!)"

"Do you want to stop!! Here let me get you a (looking for a napkin or kleenex!!) kleenex!!" said a comforting Passepartout
"No, I am fine but I get teary eyed!! Those victims only crime?? They were innocent civilians who were at the wrong place at the wrong time!! Dang those terrorist creeps!!"

"Dang can I join you because I don't want you to go to jail!! I will go with you!!" wise-cracked Passepartout
"No, besides you are injured enough!! And please stop calling me madamoselle!! Let's save that when I am nearly 100 years old!! Shelby please!!"

"Ok, Madam... I mean Shelby!!" Both laughing and shaking hands!!
Shelby found Passepartout attracted as did Passepartout the same!!

Then as Passepartout started to heal very, very, slowly but very surely since he was strong and athletic, not to mention handsome and funny.

He still had a very long way too go in healing and Shelby gave Passepartout a massage which he loved and read him books since she found out he loved books. Despite his amnesia, he loved being with Shelby and Shelby loved being with him!!

She loved the way he talked since French people talk like they are romantic. He loved her laugh and her black hair.

She made Passepartout drink liquids and soups despite the fact that she hated it for him to eat and drink only liquids and food with liquids, he didn't seem to mind at all. After a week has gone by, Dr Ingalls came back to check how he was doing and he looked fine to the good doc!!

Then he gave Passepartout some crutches and a wheelchair. The doctor, who's name was Shaw, told him he will be in a wheelchair for at least three weeks and then he can go to crutches then.

Passepartout was wearing white pajamas that were clean and warm quite different from the ripped-up clothes he was wearing when he was badly beaten.

But now his two eyes, both dark and very, very, bruised looked like the bruises were going away, his nose was not as bloody as before, and his lips were only showing a little but barely noticable bruise.

"You look very, very, healthy to me son since I last saw you!! You looked like you were left for dead and almost a goner when you look also like a corpse ready to be buried!!" said a truthful Shaw.

"Ah!! I feel much, much, better thanks to you two!! If you both weren't there, I might have been sent to an early grave!!" said a happy but sad Passepartout

"Your ribs seemed pretty healed but they are a very, very, long way of getting 100% right and you will be in both a body, leg, and arm casts for at least six-to-eight weeks!! Sorry but you definately need plenty of rest and liquids. But the good news is that you will be eating solid foods in two weeks!!"

"Ah!! That is great monsieur!! I am looking forward to that!! But I love the liquids and soups my lady friend has fixed me!!"

"She is good!! She gave up a whole worth's week of speaking engagements and writing in her column to over 100 newspapers for the first time in her nearly sixteen years!! You were more important and the news could had wait!!"

"Oh, I am so, so, sorry I slowed you down Shelby!! I didn't mean to do that!!"
"Oh!! That's Ok Passe!! Besides, I could had used a little company and with it a little vacation called r&r!!"
"Rest & Relaxation??" quipped Passepartout

"You got it!! I began writing on my columns yesterday while youu were napping!! The speaking engagements will be next week!! I will get a nurse over to baby-sit you!! But I only cut them down from four to two a week so that I can care for you!!"

"You are so, so, kind and so, so, thoughtful!! I will repay you back for all of your goodness and kindness!!"
"No! No! Don't do that!! I really expect nothing in return!! But if you want, I only ask if for your friendship!!

"Then ok, friendship indeed!!"
"And I think you can be called by a first name!! Not that your last name is hard for me and Shaw but other people as well!! Let me see! What name would fit you!! It has to be French!!"

All three thinking carefully then Passepartout thought it out loud!!
"Phillipe!! That sounds good if that is ok to you!!"
Then both Shelby and Shaw looked at each other and agreed heartedly!!

"Ok Phillipe!! We will call you that until you get your memory back!! It could be awhile since you have an special kind of memory loss that can go either get your memory back for either that can go from a few days, a few weeks, a few months, and/or a few years!! It will have to really determine your injury status!!

I want you to come into my office which is only five miles away which happens to be my home as well three times a day and we might put your picture out in the newspaper claiming that you are missing and have amnesia!!"

"OK, I will do that only if Shelby comes that is if you don't have any speaking engagements!!"
"Sure I would love that!!"
"But I am warning you something boy and take this as a polite and friendly but firm gesture!!

If you do anything to this woman and even though she is trained in the marital arts and carries almost four black belts, since she is your nurse, hostess, ladyservant, friend, and buddy all rolled up into one, you do anything to hurt her either physically, mentally, and/or verbally and even emotionally since she hurts so easily, I will come and take you down myself!! Do you here me son!!?? Don't hurt this young lady or I will come down after you myself!! Understood!!??"

"Oui! Oui! Yes! Yes!! I wouldn't lay a finger nor hurt her intentionally nor verbally and/or emotionally at all!! You can count on me and I will guard her with my life if I have too!!" said the now truthfully and understandably Phillipe formerly Passepartout!! "She has done nothing but great and excellent things and doesn't have a bad bone in her body!!

"Good keep it that way son!! Shelby I got to go!! See you two tomorrow!! It will only be for an hour a day!!" Then Shaw left and Shelby looked at Phillipe and said "You would never hurt me I know that!!"
"No honey I would never ever do that at all!!" as both embraced each other and were comfortable with each other!!:) ;)

Then a few days after Shaw left to attend to his other businesses, Shelby then finished her column and then Phillipe aka Passepartout was using both the wheelchair and also his crutches and much to the surprise of both Shelby and Him he was healing quickly.

And since he was a very muscular and strong man, he probably will be out of the casts the Doctor predicted for six weeks maybe even more less than that and Shelby as a promise to Shaw went and took Philippe to the hospital and says that he has been healing so fast and though very strong.

Shaw said that he looked like a vegetable skeleton and lost about over 50 pounds while being beaten up and left for dead. As his bruises and bones were healing Shelby had to go to a speaking engagment.

The first one in nearly two and a half-weeks. She then wanted to call a nurse to help Passepartout but then Passepartout had other plans.

"Why don't I join you Shelby??" said Phillipe
"No, Phillipe it is boring and only for law enforcement and/or political science junkies!! Plus I talk about the same thing unless it is something like 9/11 about nearly 75% of the time!!"

"No! No! I want to go with you!! You have supported me and helped me tremendously and so, so, very much and even though you don't want the favor returned in any shape, size, or form, I want to return my saying "Merci Thank you!!" in return!!"
"Are you sure because even though you are healing dramatically, you need to rest!! That is what you can do for me in return!!"

"I just can't stand still for one second and I need to get out!! Not to offend you Shelby but I need to move out so that I can get back and run around in order to get the hang of it agan!!"

Shelby thought
for a moment and saw the sadness and truthfulness of his eyes and very much wanted to return the favor back!! It was the least that he could do!!

Then Shelby finally gave in and told him he could go!!
"OK, you can go since when I looked in your eyes you really wanted to get out and do something!! I can see where you are going and want to get a fresh breath of air!!"

"Definately I would do anything to get out and see the outside world!!"
"I call what you have been having "cabin fever" where you are in the house or apartment for more than a week or two!!"
"I would love to travel with you!! If you don't mind to have some company!!"

Shelby thought of that and loved the ideal!!
"OK, but you have to wake up at 5:00am because the train to Georgia is taking off at 6:30 am and won't be there until 11:00 am and the meeting is at 1:00 then I got to catch another train at 5:00 to South Carolina since another engagement is at 9:00 am and I will be leaving again to go home at 2:30 and we will arrive home at 7:00 pm!!"

"Oh, anything to move around is fine with me Shelby!! It is settled!!"
"It is settled then!!" Both shook hands and both seem to have an attraction to each other!!

Then Passepartout, despite his sores, got up at 5:00 am and woke Shelby up with cappicino!! She thanked him and she thought that he shouldn't had done that despite his amnesia and sores. But it was such a sweet gesture of him.

Phillipe then got his usual suspenders and the clothes he wore that he was beat up in now were brand new since Shelby bought him some new clothes and laced-up boots.

He then had a black hat and then both of them had to catch a taxi. Passepartout let Shelby lay in his lap because she isn't really, despite going to speaking engagements, a morning person but seems like Phillipe was.

Then they got on the train and Phillipe, still in crutches and ribs sore and hurt, helped her. He thought it was the least he could do.

Then both were on a train and then both were napping about on there. Shelby asked Phillipe is he still sore and he replied yes he was but was healing by the moment due to his probably athletic past.

She then thanked him for the cappicino but he said that was the least he could do after caring for him for nearly a month and he looked like her was enjoying himself with her and she was enjoying him.

He rode trains and other stuff but had to learn the 21st century's new fad things. But even though he seemed to be more familiar with 18th century stuff, he has to learn how to use an electric toothbrush, stand onto the escelator, rode up an elevator, all this was brand new and even with amnesia, he felt like a kid learning something new.

"You know I wonder where you are from because I have been meaning to tell you this but never got around due to my catching up with my column and taking care of you and mending to your needs!! You sound like you are a Frenchman by your accent and you, when I first saw you beaten up badly, your clothes represent that of the 1800's!! The late 1800's like 1872!!"

"Well, I do sound like a Frenchman and I fell like these are the clothes of the 18th century and not updated on the year 2004 clothes. Sorry but I am not familiar with the era here than probably I was back there!!

I don't know how I got here!! All I remember is that I was badly beaten by some men and nearly left for dead and......(thinking of something that happened before his amnesia occured!!) Wait!! I just remembered something!! I..."

"Hold that thought, let me get my journal because also as well, Shaw may want to see you on Friday and look at you and see how you are healing not just physically but mentally and emotionally more importantly.

I guess this would be a good start though small but nonethesless a little improvement better than none!!"

"I just remembered that as I was being beaten, I was walking and wandering and then I kept walking and wandering for a very, very, long time holding my stomach after being punched in the stomach so, so, many times!! Then as I was walking, I ....(thinking very hard!!)"
"Go on!!"

"I fell into a huge and large hole in the ground and after I fell into a huge and large hole, I kept falling and falling and falling and there was no way I can tell if I was going to stop falling until I hit the ground dying.

What seemed to be eternal I felt like I was falling like over 20,000 feet and thought this would probably be my last day alive and then all of a sudden, thump!!

I fell and felt unconcious!! I layed there and then I seemed to have woken up and I saw that I wasn't in my time when I saw something like a car and people playing around like a park but this park had a river to swim and playing games. I then last remembered that all I know was I question where I was from!! I kept saying:

"Who am I??"
"Where am I??"
"I don't know who I am??"
"I am lost!! Need help!!"

"I tried to ask for help but nobody was willing and/or able to help and thought I needed to get lost even though I was crawling when I was bleeding, bruised, and beaten left to die.

I barely could walk and crawed nearly all the time. I then fell down a huge flight of stairs and then unconcious yet again!!

I then kept wandering and eating nothing but roots and berries and kept walking like I was blind and had been hit by some kind of light. That is all I remember. I must had kept wondering for a very long time until I found your place!!??

Passepartout then looked tired after explaining to Shelby about how he got from one century to another!!

"Passepartout!! That was not a small step in restoring your memory but a very, very, big step and start!! You remembered all that because you are not only getting better but also you are healing mentally and emotionally!!

We need to tell Shaw that!! You probably fell down a huge, huge, hole and found yourself here in the 21st century!!

We need to also get your picture and story in the paper so that a family member can look for you. But how are you going to go back to your time!!"

Passepartout looked at her sadly and she did the same with Passepartout.

"Something has to be thought up!! I would hate leaving you but we have to put it in the hands of the almighty to see what is best!! You just mean so much to me!! I don't know if I should go back or not!!"

Tears almost ran down both of their cheeks then Shelby took Passepartout by the hand and said:

We will think of something!! That's all!! Don't worry for now you are safe with me!!"
Both then hugged each other and both didn't want to leave each other.

Then after the conferences, both Shelby and Passepartout came home and then Shelby called Shaw and Shaw, who started out being a physcologist before being a doctor, came to her place.

And Passepartout told him what he remembered and what happened to him and how he got here and how he came from the 18th century and had 18th century clothes on him.

Then Shaw listened and took notes of Passepartout's remebering how he got to Shelby's place. Shaw then after the 90 minute "interview" asked Shelby to come because he needed to talk with her in private about the Frenchman's progress.


"Shelby that boy seems to be healing well and he has proved the skeptics, myself included and maybe you as well, that he is healing right and that he seems to be from another century.

But I can tell in that boy's eyes that he doesn't want to go back to that century amnesia or no amnesia!!"

"Shaw, I know what you are thinking. It is only a temporary thing that he is staying but he will have to go back whether his memory returns or not because this generation.

And all of the technology and other things are unfamiliar to him and I probably if I was in Phillipe's shoes, in HIS century, would do and feel the same thing."

"But Shelby, I think he has carried a "torch" for you ever since you found him. What will you tell him when he is healed not just physically but mentally and emotionally he will have to go back to his own world. I don't think he would take that well. If I do say so myself!!??"

Shelby was and could picture the sadness on the Frenchman's face if she told him about him going back if he did heal that is "when and how he will heal."
"But what happens if he is married, has children, all that!! To be honest, I don't think there is no such thing as time travel"

"Oh, yes there is?? It may be strange to everybody on the planet but to a few like myself, I have been experimenting in travel in both the past, present, and future. I kept this all to my self and not even told nobody. Not even my wife, children, nor grandchildren!!"

Shelby's mouth dropped as she nearly dropped her drink to the ground and her eyes opened wide when Shaw told her this.

"But you have to keep this between me and you and until the time is right we have to tell the boy the truth. He may or may not take it well but it will hurt us telling him this than for him to hear it."

Then the two quieted down as Passepartout was walking in from using the restroom.
"Am I interrupting you monseiur Shaw??" asked the still injured but not as badly Frenchman.

"No! No! Son, not at all. You still have a long way but not as long as both you and I and also Shelby could have ever predicted" said a surprise Shaw.

"Well, I better get back to work and you take it easy and still rest but also get at least an hour of exercising by walking. See you both and I will show myself to the door. Good day!!" said the doctor and then he whispered to Shelby.

"Wait at least a month and then tell him about it. He will know soooner or later but he will know and it will affect him either good or bad and/or even both."

Then as Shaw left, Shelby and Passepartout ate a roast dinner, the first hard food and enjoyable meal the two have eaten and goodness how long!!

Despite his amnesia, Passepartout seemed to be enjoying Shelby's company.
Shelby did the same but worried how he would take the truth about what she will have to say to him amnesia or not.

Then as Shelby and Passepartout sat down to meal for the very first time since both each ate alone had spaghetti which Passe ate heartedly!! Then he saw the look on Shelby's face and tried to guess what was troubling her:

"What is wrong Shelby?? Even though I known you for such a short while, but I knew from that look something is wrong with you??"

"Well, Phillipe!! I am not going to lie to you but I worry that your memory will come back at like anyday, anytime since you are healing very quickly and drastically!! I worry that when your memory does come back, you will have to make a choice if you want to go back to your century or stay here and I know the decision will be up to you either way.

I don't want you to go and don't want you to leave. But that choice will have to be yours since today we got your picture snapped for the local paper. I...!!"
Then Passepartout reached out to Shelby and knew what she was talking about if his memory and when it would return.

Then Passepartout assured her that everything would work out fine and knew he would have to make a decision about when and how his memory will come back.

"Shelby, I know the day will come and yes the decision will have to fall on me but also I don't want leave you since you have been so kind and so caring to help me!! I owe a lot to owe though you only want my friendship. I know how much you mean to me."

"You mean so much to me also and would hate to lose somebody I feel like I have known a short time but feel like I have known all of my life and other than my family and some acquantices from my seminars and speaking engagements. But I worry about what and how if and when you are found will affect our lives."

"Shelby, I can picture the look on both of our faces when I leave you. I would hate that!!
Then both assured that they would think of something somehow!!
Then as Shelby had the music on and was about to put the dishes and glasses up, Passepartout insisted she dance with him and that the cleaning can wait.

So she put that down and then danced with him.
It felt good for her to dance with him and he had a calming affect on her everytime he was near her.

He spoke romanitic French and she was swept away by his romantic mood
She was almost asleep and then he put her to bed and calmed and soothed her nerves by massaging her back, which she loved backrubs and didn't mind at all.

Then Shelby fell asleep very easily due to Passepartout's massaging and warm and gentle hands. He too also fell asleep. Then all of a sudden, a gunshot rang out. BANG! BANG! BANG!

"What is going on??" Shelby who was woken from the gunshots
"Stay inside Shelby, I will see what is going on." assured Passepartout
"Careful Passepartout there could be a wild man out there!!" said a very worried and concerned Shelby

"We'll do" replied back Passepartout as he got from his white pajamas and put on black laced little boots and got a bath robe on him.

There when he opened the door, there seem to be over fifty people outside as the police was backing away both people who cared and people who were chanting "Do it! Do it! Do it!"

There was a young boy that looked to be 15 with blonde hair and very pale and thin. Shelby stood outside her apartment looking over the boy as Passepartout went outside.

As Passe asked what was going on, one of the men who was an FBI agent told him it was his son and that he was going to murder him for beating his wife up.
"Please son!! I won't hurt mom again. You got to trust me Logan!!"

"I don't mind going to prison at all because it will prevent you from ever beating and hitting mom. Day in and day out when you come home from the Bureau, that is all you care about!! You then take out all your frustrations on mom.

You are going to send her to her grave. You have been beating mom for the past three years but only for the past six months is has gotten worse!!"

As the police and some of the man's FBI agent friends tried to reason with the boy, Shelby was thinking where is Passe going. He could get arrested for interferring with an investigation.

"Passepartout, don't interfere. You could get arrested." added Shelby
Then she knew the agent, one of the "very few that she liked" Tim.

Shelby knew that he had problems with his personal life but wanted to butt out because a person's or people's private lives are off-limits to her and she wouldn't think about going there.

Tim was saying that he crossed the line in hitting his wife and was an exceptional agent for the bureau who has been there for twenty-eight years and has made stops in places like Chicago, New York, San Diego, Seattle, Dallas, DC Headquarters, and now Knoxville.

"Logan, is that your name that is a beautiful name. I am Passepartout but call me Phillipe." said a voice that was Passepartout's
"What do you want from me??"
"Why don't you lay the gun down or better yet give me the gun. Even though I have known you for fifteen minutes, I don't think because you love your mom and even your dad you won't pull the trigger!!"
"
Shut up will you?? You don't know me I am only a stranger to you!!"
"No I am afraid I won't shut up or get out of the way, you may be thinking you will even try to kill me but you won't. Please son, I will do my best to see that both your dad goes to counseling and never hits your mom and your mom and you can help him.

Please if you can't trust him, think about your mom please. She can't afford losing not one but two people in her life. You to prison and your dad feels that this day or the very last minutes or seconds will be his last on earth."

The boy then was shaking and shivering over what to do with the gun and almost put it to his head and as tears and crying down his face and cheeks
A lady's voice was heard "Logan, this man is right. Please I will see to it all three of us get help. Please!!"

It was the mother, who was looking much more worse than Passepartout did when Shelby found him.

She had her face all bandaged, bloodied, and bruised with two black very, very, black eyes.
"Listen to your mom son!! Do what she tells you!!"

Logan then put the gun down, slowly, slowly, slowly, and very, very gently down as Passe grabbed the gun and holster the gun and handed it to a nearby officer

"I believe this is yours monseiur!! Police property!!"
"It is now!! Randy take this gun please..."
One of the agents said "You know I don't think the 11,500 agents of the bureau could handle what you did. You should join us son!!"

As everybody left and the "show was over", Tim whispered and said "I'm sorry" and sobbed hard and his wife and Logan came and hugged each other very tight and hard.

Then Passepartout came and Shelby embraced him.
"I have been in circumstances like these before but family situations it has always 95% a bad ending!!"
"Well, Shelby this one ended peacefully but their story is only beginning!!"

"You took the words out of my mouth. I can't go back to sleep after "high noon drama" Want some cappicino!!??"
"Love one!!"
"Got all kinds of cappicino!!"
"Don't mind if I do."
Passe kicked the door closed as both went to "celebrate" the bittersweet ending.

Shelby and Passepartout then got an invitation to invite them to the agent's retirement party as he accepted a position at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Tim welcomed both of his guests and politely thanked both for helping him and his son but Shelby deflected the credit and gave all the praise to Passepartout.

She then told tim how she "met" Passe and that he was badly beaten, bruised, and bloodied and had amnesia and that he has gradually had his memory a bit returned.

And that her neighborhood doctor and she were surprised that he was healing well and both of them thought he would be paralyzed but thank goodness due to his muscular build, he is healing well.

She didn't want to tell him that he was from "another century" because Tim would think that she was "nuts.

As Passepartout was charming the ladies and was doing his best to maintain a friendly but platonic friendship and didn't want to upset Shelby at all.

Then, all of a sudden, one of the cops, a local sheriff named Max pulled him aside thanking him and needed to talk with him about Shelby because Max has known Shelby ever since she was a little tiny girl.

Shelby was wondering what was going on but Passepartout gave her a look that told her it was only going to be for a "little talk!!"

"I want you to understand something about Shelby and please boy, don't take this as a threat but a family friendly but firm understanding and a little bit of a warning.

Shelby wears her heart on her sleeve. She can come off a bit strong, have a huge and hot fuse and temper and sometimes insubordinate and wants to have her own way.

But she is smart, intelligent, kind, warm, and has a big heard despite those character flaws. She makes up for those flaws with her quiet grace and low-key, low-profile understanding. Though I am not her father, you don't want to hurt her!!"

"What makes you think that I want to hurt her. She has done nothing but great things for me!! Monsieur had I not found her I would not be standing here talking to you and/or being a friend to her. I would have been dead as a rat!! Forgive me but that kind of sounds like a threat Monsieur!!"

"Boy people think that it is a threat but I worry about that gal. She is really done some great things in this community and she gets hurt easily and puts herself and her concerns way, way, beyond and way dead to next last on her list.

Also and puts other peoples' concerns way, way, beyond herself and asks for nothing at all in return despite our protests but all she asks for is friendship!!"

"I did the same thing to reward her but that is all she asks for and I don't want her to get hurt at all Monsieur!!"
"So all the feelings are returned like a friendship. Not quite like a relationship!! But just platonic and friendly!!"

[SIZE=4]"What of course they are returned!! Don't get me wrong Monsieur but she has told me with the exception of a few men, not one to gloat but like me and very, very, few men like her dad, uncles, other family members, and you she finds men to be interferior.

She has a hard time trusting men and it cuts deep within her!!"

"You see that man(pointing Passepartout to a man in his early thirties in a dark suit), that is one of the reasons son that she finds most men interferior!! That is the US Attorney for East Tennessee!!"
"Yeah why!!?? What about him!!"

"Let's you and I talk over cappicino to avoid a scene son!!"
Both walked out while Shelby, who didn't noticed and was occupied with her women friends, kept herself with others.

Then as Max came and took Passepartout out for a cappicino, he layed down the story for Passe!!
"Don't, I mean, do not say anything to this about anybody boy!! Not even Shelby or her family because if anybody catches wind of this, she would never, ever speak to me ever again and I will come down hard on you boy!! Do you understand??"

"Oui! Oui! Monseiur!! This secret won't leave this room. Scout's honor." Passe as he gestured the boy scout's honor
Then as both got their cappicinos, Max told his story to Passepartout.

"Shelby was best friends with DEA agent Adam Beckett and trusted him because she has had a very, I mean very low opinion on the feds. Particularly, the FBI and DEA though she can tolerate some DEA agents since they are few compared to the FBI.

Adam didn't have a "better than thou" attitude and that is the reason Shelby and I, who also shared her views on the Feds, because Adam was like her older brother but more wiser as he was 38 and she was only twenty three fresh out of college after getting her masters degree starting her career.

Adam also was involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs and Shelby was formerly involved but due to her demanding schedule, she now visits very, very, rarely but does her best to make up for the loss.

She and Adam, though they had known each other for six months had a strictly business, strictly platonic, but very friendly like I said boy, "brother and sister" relationship. When Adam told her he was going undercover to bust a fellow DEA agent gone bad and that this was between her and him.

So as this was a joint sheriffs/DEA investigation, we all had to keep a very, very, low profile. That man in the party I point you out, is US Attorney Kitt Trotter, whom both Adam and Shelby despised because he was always getting the credit & glory and letting him and other law enforcement, FBI including out to dry and overlooked.

But when a case falls apart, who does he blame, the Feds. Shelby knew that Adam was working long hours and that she was always expecting either good news if he was alive or bad news if he died in the line of duty but that was a law enforcement officer's duty & Shelby grow up in a law enforcement environment.

Adam was divorced from his wife of ten years with two children and saw them very, very, rarely because his ex-wife didn't want instead of using the term "their" to "her" children because he was a "deadbeat father" and was setting a bad example to her children because of his long work hours and "caring only about his job and himself and that he was flirting with Shelby", which both he and Shelby took great disdain.

And the kids didn't want to live with their mom, who had a very, very, abusive boyfriend he was so abusive he hit and beat the children and also molested them daily and what is worse, if they didn't submit to "his needs" and only his and their mom's needs, he would send the kids back to Adam in a "bodybag".

Though Shelby likes to not interfere in a person's private life and thinks that their private lives and/or problems are off-limits to her, that doesn't mean she cares though she does think you should take the job personally and put heart and soul over brains, brawns, and/or bullets and guns.

Adam went to a judge and Shelby backed him up and that Adam, everytime he sees his children like once a month, yes!

Once a month, he had to have a social worker, who took the mom's side saying He, "Adam" was the one who abuses his children, both he and Shelby testify that they flatley & wholeheartedly deny having an affair and that Shelby firmly.

And says that his ex-wife Nina is the one who needs help and that the kids try to call hin but her boyfriends catches them and beats them if they try to call Adam and the state was making Adam the "scapegoat!!" But Nina was awarded custody.

Adam and Shelby worked very, very, hard to get Adam's children back & that Adam thought about quitting the DEA after fifteen years and wanted to help at the local boys and girls club full-time.

His heart in law enforcement wasn't in it and both the kids took a liking to Shelby and she did her best to even though she had a disdan for Nina and her boyfriend, Mac didn't want to replace her because if she did, it would be like replacing their mother but nonetheless the children thought Shelby was full of fun.

Then when she walked out of the Federal Courthouse with her US Marshal friend Dante, both overheard a conversation. Both took a peak and saw the US Attorney, Trotter, with Mac!!(Passepartout's eyes and mouth lid wide open)and Trotter goes that he has had a crush for Shelby.

But, of course, she flatly hates him and his guts and his office for running a "dirty politics and smear campaign" on Adam and that if Adam were dead, not only would Nina collect life insurance off Adam's death but the kids would never, ever, see their father again.

Mac then was seen with a rifle and both shook hands. Then both knew they had to go to the authorities about the plot & most of all, Adam!! But Adam was working and she couldn't reach him. She had to warn him. Somehow. As Dante went to get help, Shelby was going in her car.

Then, when she was going to the police with this, Adam was waving hello and Shelby said "Adam, I need to speak with you!! This is very, very, important. This involves Osmond and Nita and... (Shot! Shot! Shot!)

And seven more shots as all seven shots hit Adam in the chest and Dante ran out and as he ran out, Shelby was holding Adam and saw the rear window off the federal court house open with Mac with a rifle.

Shelby was crying hard and screaming her heart out for help as three or four people came and Dante was calling 9-1-1. Shelby was telling Adam that Trotter and Mac were going to have him killed and that Nina and Mac would have over a 250,000 off insurance money and that the kids would also fear for their lives and that all three needed to be stopped.

But as Adam was bleeding profusely and fast and as he couldn't talk at all as the paramedics were coming and Shelby had to leave, there was no need for the trip at the hospital. Adam died instantly. He died so instantly it was like he didn't feel any pain.

Shelby and Dante felt they were next because if they went to the FBI, they would take Trotter's side over their side. Dante, who was a former Navy Seal for eighteen years and was trained in martial arts and weapontry, didn't worry about him but worried about Shelby and that she needed to be protected because if she went to the feds, she would be killed on the spot.

Dante then drove her back to her apartment. She wanted to be near Adam but Dante thought it was a bad idea and that Mac and Trotter would come after her next.

"Oh, Mon Dieu!!?? She didn't tell me this. I know she just seems so mild-mannered, so private and never talks about herself but is very, very, sensitive. It seems like Trotter and that jerk Mac has gotten away with murder. They want to make it sound like both were having a ron de voux!! Oh, what I would do to strangle those two!!"

"Now! Now! Boy!! Like I said Shelby has never, ever mentioned this because this happened six years ago and the kids, Nita is now fifteen and Osmond 12, are now with their mother still but Mac, you don't have to worry about because he is dead!!"

"Dead?? Let me guess, Trotter!!"
"Yes, and even worse, he and Nina were having an affair!!"
"What!! Oh gosh!! No wonder this seems to cut deep into Shelby!!"/u]

[U]"It does, that is why she never, ever, talks about this to anybody. Not even her parents nor other family or relatives. Like I said, even though both Shelby and Adam had known each other for six months, she felt like he was like a brother to her but felt he was more wiser than her despite the fifteen year age difference. Osmond was only six and Nita was only nine, when their daddy was killed and they cried themselves almost day in, day out, for nearly those six years he has been dead.

WHEN POTTER WENT ON TRIAL AFTER THEY GOTTEN ENOUGH EVIDENCE AND AS SHELBY, WHOM YOU KNOW SON TAKES NOTES ABOUT THE DAYS, DATES, TIMES, PLACES, STREETS, AVENUES, SHE IS ON, TESTIFIED IN FRONT OF A GRAND JURY AND FOR THREE DAYS.

SHE SHOWED THE JURY NOTES AND SHE THEN AS SHE SAW POTTER WHEN SHE WAS GUARDED BY THE US MARSHALSO SERVICE WHEN THE OFFICE OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY, THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS FOR THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT LIKE EVERY POLICE, SHERIFF'S, AND/OR STATE POLICE HAVE TO "POLICE THE POLICE"

WHEN TROTTER AND HIS FBI AGENTS SECURITY DETAIL WERE COMING OUT, TROTTER MADE SNIDED REMARKS AND EXPECTED SHELBY TO HAUL OFF AND HIT HIM BUT SHELBY, EVEN THOUGH SHE LISTENED WITH CLENCHED FISTS AND ALSO ANGER AND HURT, KNEW BETTER THAN THAT.

AND SHE SUMMED THE COURAGE IN A COOL BUT CALM WAY DESPITE DANTE'S PROTESTS.

SHE SAID THAT TROTTER AND HIS FBI DETAIL AREN'T ABOVE THE LAW AND MOST OF ALL, IN THE COOL, CALM, AND COLLECTED WAY, THE LAWS AND COMMANDMENTS OF GOD ALMIGHTY.

SHE SAID THE COURTS WITH JUDGE AND JURY WILL DECIDE HIS, MAC'S AND THE OTHER AGENTS ON TRIAL FOR MURDER AMONG MANY CHARGES FATE THEN LEFT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE AND HEAD. THE CASE TOOK PLACE NEARLY TWO YEARS AFTER THE MURDERS.

THE TRIAL TOOK PLACE FOR NEARLY ELEVEN WEEKS WITH OVER 70 PROSECUTION WITNESSES AND ALSO FIVE DEFENSE. SHELBY TESTIFIED THREE DAYS AND SHOWED NOTES.

After the trial was over, Shelby buried herself in her work, working and putting in overtime and putting in so, so, much like quadruple overtime.

She thought that is she went to the trial and saw the defense play out, she would want to grab Trotter by the neck and shake the you know what out of him.

Then when the jury came back Trotter, also facing a bar ethics commission in five states and the federal courts, was acquitted, along with Mac, and four other agents of first degree murder, first degree manslaughter, conspiracy to commit murder, civil rights violations, falsfying evidence, and/or obstruction of justice.

They went out for a steak dinner and some beers, compliments of the US Government. Shelby felt that she let not just Adam, but his family, his co-workers and friends, and most of all his kids.

What is even worse, Trotter not only got to keep his law licenses in all of the courts and/or states, but he went from being Executive to the US Attorney in Knoxville.

And Shelby felt that Adam and She were left out to dry and to this day, she rarely discusses this case and never hardly ever won't even talk about it with her family. She put in overtime also after the case and buried herself in her work working 24/7.

But since after working that nearly a year, she works now five days and about twenty five weekends a year and Sundays is consider her day off and she spends it at church and with her family and nephews and nieces, whom she refers as like a second mother to them.

Shelby has never been one to forgive and forget and it is hard for her not to hold a grudge because she hurts so easy. Trotter wanted to make Adam, who BTW is an only child but consider Shelby not just like a little sister but a teacher, mentor, and friend to her.

Because she has a very, very, low opinion on federal law enforcment and that case is one of the billions and billions of reasons like they were lovey/dovey and acted like they were the tabloids of the town which both flatly and clearly deny.

Passepartout with sadness and anger both in his heart and soul wanted to do something for Shelby since she did so much in caring for, healing, and most of all, giving up over way, way, way, too much out of her job and/or time to make sure he lived.

"I can't belive that all they walked out of court is just a slap on the wrist. Boy that makes anybody mad. Shelby does her best Monseiur to deflect credit and give it to others monsieur. She like wears her heart on her sleeve. She told you about me.

How about three months ago found me beaten, bloodied, and clothes tore off. I want to return anything, all things, even my whole entire life to her so that I can repay my thanks to her but all she wants is friendship and never expects anything in return."

"Son, Shelby has been that way and I don't want her hurt and all and though I am only a friend to her and known her since she was a baby in the crib, I feel like a second dad to her boy!!

BTW, Mac as I told you, he went out and then Trotter and the agents, whom felt Mac was going to call up DC and tell them about the murders and everything asked Mac for a meeting. The usually cool, calm, mean-spirited, strong, and collected Mac was unusually not himself.

He was sweating, nervous, and breathing every thirty seconds. They met out in a barn. Trotter wanted Mac to kill Shelby because she knew too much. Trotter thought Mac was wearing a wire which Mac whole-heartedly denied flatly.

Then, as Trotter gave Mac a pistol and over $50,000 cold cash!! Trotter then yelled Ok, Hey Mac, BTW, BANG!! BANG!! Over thrity times Mac was shot and his bullet hole body covered up head to toe and bloodied and shot about over twenty times in the head to make sure he was dead as a doorknob.

Who also was behind this?? Adam's ex, who had a daughter, now three years old by Mac, as she and Trotter were having an affair. Now they are both engaged and if you thought Mac was worse, he makes Mac look like a boy scout.

Trotter was in the Marines before going into the US Attorney's Office and he ran a very tight ship!!It was like both boot camp and/or prison all rolled up into one and if they did one insy tiny little bit wrong, Trotter would make them do it over and over until it meet his seal of approval!! He and Nina are engaged."

Passepartout was angry and furor was in his eyes!!
"Something must be done. If I could do anything for Shelby, I would bring justice to her and Adam and those kids need a father figure, big time!!"

"Son, I am part of a group, along with the now former US Attorney, who resigned after opening the investigation in which justice is done for those left out to dry and for those wronged by every and all aspects of law enforcement. Oh, here comes Shelby!! Hold off boy!!" Shelby was approached them.

Then Shelby asked what her two favorite or one of her two favorite handsome men were doing??
"Just talking to the boy!! He is smart!! Healing very quick!!"

"He is so, so, generous Shelby!! Very, very, smart indeed."
"Well, I am going to go back home if you want to stay Phillipe, fine but I will have somebody go with me!!"

"Oh, no!! You need somebody. This may be not a city like New York or Chicago but still, you never know what will happen!!"

"Listen to this boy Shelby!! He may have amnesia but he is very, very, smart for a guy with amnesia!!"
"OK, but I will leave her in five minutes!!" Shelby said as she got hurt coat.

Then Max turned to Passepartout "I know how you almost died and got here son!! You about were beaten and bloodied!!

You had almost every bone in your body broken and if you even lived, you might had been paralyzed from the waist down or laid in be for life!! You healed very, very, quickly. You seem built boy!!

You seem like your muscles are big and chest strong and you seem to have been from the 1870's as Shelby was telling me. You seem to take a liking to her.

You were in nearly four casts in your body parts. But now you only have a bandage on your wrist and you are out of crutches and walking with a cane. Son, you should consider yourself lucky!! Very, very lucky!!"

"You know Monseiur!! I am lucky!! Shelby seems to be well-liked in this town and she also seems to like everybody and is so, so sensitive. I know she is a person of a few words but also she has a heart and soul of gold and I owe her my life and will continue to owe her my life until the day I die.

But hopefully not to soon. Monseiur even though I have only known her for nearly eight weeks, I feel like I have known her forever.

She makes me feel so secure and so, so, welcomed and drops everything not just for me but for everybody as well wherever she goes. I am so, so, sorry about Trotter. It seems he just walked away with a slap on the wrist.

Why do the bad things happen to good and good things happen to the bad. That has always been up to 90% accurate I am afraid. Something has to be done and I would be gladly take those kids in because those kids need a father figure. I love kids!!"

"Well, Passepartout, meet me tomorrow night at 7:15pm no sooner and/or no later!! Here is the address son!! And keep this between me and you!! Tell Shelby that I have invited you to play poker!!

She believes everything I say to her!! She is very trusting and I am afraid very guillable but in a good kind of way!! See you!!" Max handing Passepartout his card.

Then as Passepartout helped Shelby, Shelby asked what he was talking about to Max.

"Well, all he said was you told him about my amnesia and how well I am doing and also that I would never, ever hurt you and he is a very serious man Shelby!! He says what he means and means what he says. He would eat me alive I am afraid. I really feel like I have known you all of my life.

Seems like that I belong in a different century but I feel right at home when I am with you. I just can't see myself leaving you if and when everything and all things come back to me!! I would not be the happiest boy alive!!"

Then, Shelby recognized the sadness Phillipe had in his eyes then he touched her skin and then he gave her a little kiss, then another little kiss, then a little more and gentler and deeper.

Then Passe says "I can't I might be married and have a family and..."
"Please kiss me more!!" Then Passepartout grabbed Shelby and then held her tight and kissed for what was forever and ever and then carried her to her apartment and kicked the door shut and closed and then to her bed and they kissed each other and then fell asleep on each other.

At the middle of the night, as Passepartout was trying to massage Shelby's back, he noticed she was missing but then she turned on the light and saw her in a robe.

"Passepartout!! I have to tell you something. I have never, ever told anybody this for six going on seven years but you need to hear. I only talked about my family a few times about this like three times all together. It has been painful Only my family, Max, and now you need to know because I trust you!!"

"Well, looks like you are about to cry and... what is it Madamoselle Shelby??" as he touched her hair as she began the story of what Max had told him.

Then Shelby told Passepartout all about what Max told him about Adam and says in case she was giving one of the men dirty looks as Passepartout figured it was that Trotter creep and how he not only ruined Adam's life but the lives of his children.

And how that Mac killed Adad before Shelby had the chance to warn him and knew that Trotter would come after her for knowing way too much but Trotter knew of her martial arts skills.

But still has to look "both ways" and watch not only her back but her "front" as well as her US Marshal friend Dante wanted her to have a gun but she is scared of guns after too many of her friends were killed by guns.

Passepartout didn't want her to know that Max was talking to him and telling him the whole story.

Shelby wanted Passe to promise not to tell anybody not even let her family or friends know because she felt that everything and all things, her apartment, her car, her family's and her other relatives houses, cars, offices, could be bugged but Dante and some other people whom were in law enforcement whom she could trust, were watching her, including Passepartout.

Passepartout told her: "I will protect you and that is all you can owe me even though you are highly skilled in fights and even though you have people protecting and watching out for you, I will protect you and take that as a "return gift" for all and everything you do.

No ands, ifs, and/or buts!! Please let me return the favor to you Shelby."
Shelby looked in his eyes and saw concern and worry on Phillipe:

"OK, Phillipe but at least I need some privacy and some independence but other than that, I can use a private bodyguard!! Plus, I just love having some company around since I don't get it very often other than my family and a few friends!!"

Passepartout: "I just worry about you Madamoselle Shelby. Don't want anything to happen to you at all. You mean so much to me you don't know how much!!"
Shelby then embraced Passepartout as he did the same for her.

Then as both hugged and layed together cuddling up warmly and gently, Shelby had another lecture at the college she did weekly once a week but thank goodness in the day.

As Shelby left, Passepartout was cleaning her apartment and his sores and wounds were healing really well and swift and fast!!
Passepartout was glad it was only for an hour or two and as she left, he got the card out and saw the place where Max was.
Then as Passepartout called, Max told him to come immediately and keep the meeting discreet.

It was only a ten minute walk and as Passepartout was walking, a huge man about 6'5" came and asked him his name and then had to frisk him so that there would be no wires, no weapons on him but Passepartout had to take off his boots and socks for fears of weapons or box cutters hence 9/11.

Also his jacket and vest. Only with suspenders he was lead down and behold there was Max and six other people.

Max welcomed him and apologized for the frisk and very intense security and background check and told the others about him. These people were law enforcement people as Max told Passepartout that he used to work for the FBI and one for the DEA.

One for US Marshals as his name was Dante, one that was the US Attorney now working for underprivileged children in private pratice, one from the state police, a woman from the OPR, and one deputy sheriff.

Three were women and three were men. All six told Passepartout they were forced to use discreation for fears of federal interferrance and for fears of being bugged.

Also two bodyguards made it eight. All of them warned Passepartout not to tell Shelby about their little "meeting". He held up his right hand and sworn to secrecy!! Then the doors closed.

Max then stood up and told Passepartout that the group has been in existance for six months after trying to convince anybody and everybody very, very, reluctantly to pursue Trotter and his gangs of "croonies" to bring them down.

Passepartout then was forced to raise his hand in honor and vows of secrecy and not to tell anybody, not even Shelby what was going on at all. Then he was given up to date on the investigation.

Dante told Passepartout that they have tried everything and everybody to testify and not even the federal courts, state courts, state bars, OPR, nor even the President nor Congress don't want to interfere and/or take part

And open an investigaton.

And case against Trotter and his "bad guys" since all they got was a slap on the wrist. They say they are very, very, close to shutting Trotter down but need some outside help: PASSEPARTOUT!!!!!

"Passepartout, we need somebody from the outside looking in and if we get to Trotter and his croonies first, all they would do is let him and his men go.

So could you help us get them and bring them down because we had done the best to bring them down. It will only take a week but that week is crucial."

"Oui! Oui! Monseiur Dante but what can I do!! Don't you have any back-up if plans go awry??"
"We don't need back-up son!! You can take them down since we have tried so, so, many, many, times that we lost count after six years, three months, two weeks, and five days and over hundreds and hundreds of times.

Wear a wire but put it in a place where they will never suspect it. They will probably hand you a bribe and when they do, we will take it from there.

Every other plan has gone down in violence and both authorities and/or families getting hurt and/or even worse, killed!!. We want this to end swift, certain, but most of all, clean and without harm nor incident because the last thing we all need is a bloodbath."

"OK, when do we start here Monseiur Max!! I have to keep a low profile and not say anything to Shelby or act like it because she is smarter than you will ever know. She may be sensitive but don't let that fool anybody."

"You are catching on fast kid!! Remember, act like any day is a normal day." said DEA agent Jack Bogart
"When do we start!!" asked the concerned Frenchman
"Right now!!" confirmed Max.

Then, Passepartout came home with a bag of groceries to make sure Shelby didn't think anything was supicious of him going to help the authorities put Trotter away and also he was cooking dinner.

Shelby ran to see the cast on his wrist and it was getting better. Shelby said that she had to go out of town for a few days but would be back.

Passepartout acted like he was interested in seeing something else which, surprised Shelby because he always wanted to be with her.

But Passepartout covered up his "real story" fast and said that Max wanted to take him to the local Boys and Girls club to play since Max was one of the board of directors there.

But Shelby knew that Passepartout wouldn't pass up an oppourtunity to play with the kids since he was so, so, good with her nephews and nieces who called him "Uncle Passe or Uncle Phil(short for Phillipe).

So Shelby then left him some food, numbers, and also other things since he had no use anymore of the crutches he has been walking on.

So she left when she heard that somebody had to do something out of town and that also she would be home a day early.

She then packed for a few days with two days extra if something else came up and kissed Passepartout after fixing a chicken dinner for her and waved good-bye. Passepartout made sure she already left and then departed. He then waited for thirty minutes to see her out of sight.

Then Passepartout met the gang and he then told them sorry he was late but had to not let Shelby be supiscious of what he and the feds were doing. Then Passepartout was wired as they put the wire in a place where Trotter and his croonies wouldn't even dare to look.

Then with Max and the others' help, Passepartout learned that Trotter wanted somebody else killed since Shelby had protection from the US Marshals. Adam's ex Nina and their children.

And Passepartout's part, the part of a hit man. Then as Passepartout had to change and put liqour on him to not let Trotter be supicious of him if he looked so nice and neat, Passepartout met Trotter and one of his agents, Champora!!


Trotter told Passepartout while at a function for children's causes that he wanted Nina, who was pregnant again much to the dismay of Trotter, and their kids killed one-by-one, tomorrow since there has been a change in plans and/or in schedule. The hitman they first hired almost ranted out on them and had to be killed.


So they trusted Passe, who had a beard as a disguised put on him, to do that since the killing would had taken place on a Friday, when Shelby would return. Then they gave Passepartout directions to Nina's house. Passepartout was told to kill the children and Nina at 12:00am. No sooner no later.

Then Passe left and then got into a car with Bogart, who left the DEA after fifteen years and is now chief deputy sheriff with Max. Bogart then waited for Passepartout as Trotter told Passepartout to buy a specific gun, a .44 colt.

Then they got in the car. As they waited for hours at the house Nina lived, both felt that they were wired so then Passepartout recognized not one, not two, but three wire tapes in Jack's car.

Then as they took out the wires, Jack told him to put them back after the "killings".

As midnight approached, Passepartout walked into the trailer house and then fired several shots, after telling Nina to shut up and her kids. Then the other authorities ran and got the kids to safety and Passepartout knocked Nina out for her safety and for the kids.

Then when the wires were put into place to hear the "killings" they were taken out when Bogart and Phillipe had Nina in the car and took her to a deserted area.

Then as Nina's face was uncovered, Passepartout apologized for punching her out but it was for both her kids and hers safety and Max and the others reveiled themselves to be part of a task force to get rid of Trotter and his croonies.

And that she would be charged with illiegal drugs, first-degree murder, conspiracy to committ first-degree murder, hiring someone to commit murder, child endangerment and child abuse, among many, many, charges and could get the gurney or life without parole.

But Max and the State Attorney's Office along with the former US Attorney promises her at least eight years to fifteen if she testified against Trotter and give Trotter and his croonies death and/or life where they would be old, rotten, men when they breathe their last breath of air.

Then Passepartout went out since this wasn't his business. Nina broke down and told all and the kids were taken away from the Health and Human Serivices Department and given to her parents to raise.

Passepartout would had like to raise them himself but that would be a small chance due to his memory loss.

Then she was granted at least eight years but no more than fifteen after she had a grueling thirteen hour interrogation from the Feds and Max. Passepartout was told to get the money from Trotter and make sure there were no change of plans nor schedule.

Passepartout also had to make sure Shelby was still in Dallas because she could be home either sooner or later and he wanted to make sure Shelby wouldn't know what he was really doing and felt bad lying to her but this was for those children.

Then Trotter and his croonies introduced a new hitman that was French but heard very resourceful. Passepartout is what they call him.

They didn't want the "bad guys" to know that he was suffering from amnesia but Passepartout was smart enough for the men.

Then Passepartout was shown a picture of the person Trotter wanted to kill as payment for Passepartout. $250,000 cold cash!! The person or worse yet, persons.

Nina, and her three children and her parents, married since 1949 and still going strong. Passepartout agreed to do it but first he had to actually do the killings.

They started the "killings" when Trotter and his men went to Nina's house and then he killed with a aka rifle shot out over forty shots to make it "look real and a bloodbath".

Then Passepartout came back and his clothes, changed from his usual suspenders and 18th century suit, from a fake beard, "beer breath", ripped-up white t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes(old ones) was told by Trotter to throw the clothes out in the woods and burn them.

Then Passepartout changed into some dress pants, a t-shirt, and black boots, and his "clothes".

Trotter and his croonies saw Passepartout burned the "evidence" when the real evidence was in Max's hands. Then Trotter and his croonies offered Passepartout a beer and Passepartout stopped at four beers and left because he was "driving".

And then as soon as he was out of sight, Max then brought the clothes and then soon the nearly seven year nightmare would end as the grandparents played "dead" with "bulletholes covered up in blood.

Then, Shelby was going to be home in 24 hours and then Passepartout had to be on alert because Trotter would come and have a change in plans and/or schedule and Shelby would be home also at anytime.

Passepartout, then the next day, met out in the shaded woods and then the croonies had to frisk him to make sure he wasn't wired but the whole woods were wired and caught on tape.

Then as Passepartout took the money, the police and the feds took down Trotter and as one of the corrupt agents aimed the gun at Max, Passepartout then kicked it out of the agent's hand and gave him a roundhouse karate kick.

Passepartout was surprised and probably learned that he probably had some kind of martial arts training.


Then Passepartout was given the applause but he deflect credit to Max, Jack, and the others, some wished to remain in the "dark and fade away."

Passepartout as Trotter and his croonies were led away, were shouting every kind of obscenitity at Passepartout.

But as he almost punched Trotter, Max gave him a look and there was Shelby, who learned from Max what was to happen.

And know that Max was going to use a person from the inside out, Passepartout and both Passe and Shelby apologized for keeping each other in the dark.

Shelby "only pretended to be away" but she and Max kept to themselves about their plans and that she wanted to see first-hand Trotter's downfall.

As Shelby gave Trotter a mean look, the sometimes bad-tempered but never hardly violent Shelby then turned around and gave a #1 finger to Max whispering gently "Just this once!!"

Then hauled off and gave Trotter a blooded and broken nose and said in tears "That was for Adam!! And all those victims you put away wrongly and made out as scapegoats!!

May God rest your soul Trotter and you and your "henchman" will never, ever, hurt another soul, physically, mentally, and/or emotionally ever, ever again!!":mad::mad:

Passepartout then walked up and did a round-house kick again but this time on Potter. "That was for those three kids Monseiur now Convict Trotter!! Whom are the real, real, victims!! Get him out of my site!!"
"Hey, boy you punched out great!!"

"Thanks Max!! But Shelby deserves this more than me!!"
Both Shelby and Passe tried to deflect credit where credit was due.

As the authorities were leaving and cleaning away, Shelby though Passepartout had some martial arts training. Passe deflected credit again as bits and pieces of his memory were coming back.

"Shelby, please forgive me for keeping you in the dark!!"
"I will if you will forgive me. Promise never to keep each other in the dark??"
Passepartout, kiddingly looked and "thought" and said "Well....., Ha! Ha!:laugh::laugh: Ok!!"

Both hugged then again kissed each other and Passe then led them both home and snuggled each other up in her apartment.

Shelby and Passepartout for the next three months enjoyed going from a friendship to a more serious relationship. Then they both enjoyed each other's company.

Passepartout enjoyed accompaning his new girlfriend and Shelby loved being with her new boyfriend. Despite his amnesia and still healing quickly but surprisingly, he loved the way Shelby laughed and Shelby loved his cooking.

Shelby might have thought that he used to be a chef among other things and also he knows french and has some experience in the martial arts. But it was not the skills that mattered but his heart and soul since she was taken by him.

But some strange worry overcame her because she felt what would happen if he regain his memory and went back to his time. Shelby would have no choice but to accept the fact he belongs there but also he would be more devestated than Shelby going back.

Then they both enjoyed going out to eat and seeing movies and the theatre and ballet. Passepartout also got Shelby interested in the opera and Shelby and Passepartout both found out that both loved to read.

Shelby hasn't been much of a Shakespeare fan but Passepartout made her interested and he read her poems and poetry.

He was like some kind of renanissance man. He also for some strange reason when he saw somebody painting, he then started dootling and then Shelby found out he was left-handed by the way he wrote and by throwing stuff.

He then the next day doodled Shelby as she posed "as a model" and that she loved it so, so, very much that she hung it on the wall.

Passepartout was good to have in her life because until then, all of her life was involved around work, work, work, and only visiting her siblings, their children, and her parents.

Shelby got him into football by going and seeing the Tennessee Titans play in Nashville and also she got him into the internet.

Shelby and Passepartout were both the life and light of both of their lives and both enjoyed each other that they took the weekend off but since both abstain from sex since she was a virgin and both slept in different beds.

Passepartout and Shelby went to the mountains in Gatlinburg and they both went hiking and both learned to enjoy mother nature.

What both gave each other was entertainment not just in the form of trips but walks in the mountains, hiking, walking out in the neighborhood, going to libraries, exercising, back rubs, among other things.

Both found out that they both are neat freaks and like things a certain way and/or ways.

Then Shelby picked up a paper and saw something and about dropped her cappicino. Passepartout, who gotten part-time employment as a substitue teacher at a local jr high school where he was so, so, popular, was coming home

And Passepartout came up as he kissed her she said: Passe, you are wanted
Passepartout laughed and thought it was a joke: Wanted by the FBI?? Wanted by a job?? Am I a criminal??
Shelby: No, your family needs you!!
There was on the newspaper "Amnesiac man wanted by family and friends back in Great Britian!!"

Passepartout: So??(Grabbing the news paper briefly reading it but gave it and shrug it off back to Shelby)
Shelby: Well, what happens if you are married with kids and....
Passepartout, again grabbed it and read it and said:

It doesn't say that I am married but all it says is that a Phileas Fogg is looking for me!! That doesn't matter anymore!! I am with you!! I won't go away because if I do, I would be devestated more going and leaving you when we had so much potential going!!"

Shelby: Your name isn't Phillipe, it's Jean!! Jean Passepartout. In the papers it said before you were a servant to Phileas Fogg, you were an acrobat, circus rider, gymnast at a circus and also you taught as a professor of gymanstics for underprivliged children, a firefighter, a chef, a painter, poet, trained in martial arts, and a seargant firefighter back in your native home of Paris France.

You and Phileas Fogg made news that you two went around theworld in 80 days with no aircraft but by land, by a balloon, and by sea with over six continants and sixteen countries in Europe, Asia, Spain, and the US just to name a few. Your family must be worried and think that you are dead!!

Passe: Shelby, that is the past!! I am happy with you and I probably did those things in the past but right now my present and future is with you. I am not leaving you at all!! You mean so, so, much to me!! I can't imagine leaving you all by yourself and making both of us sad.(Passe on the verge of tears as was Shelby)

Shelby: But what happens if you have a wife, children, and/or other relatives!! They would be sad if you weren't there. Especially your children if you have any!!

Passe: Look, I better go and get a shower and also go to the college for some courses I am taking. We'll talk about this later! (Passe giving Shelby a kiss)

Then as he went to get cleaned up, Shelby went on the internet and e-mailed two people, the hometown doctor Shaw and another person who knows about time travel. Sawyer Harris.
"This will hurt me more than it hurts you Passepartout!!"

A week had passed and as Passepartout was then coming home after work, he saw some people that dressed up as if they were from the 1870's and people dressed up comtemporary.

There was Shaw and the man Sawyer Harris, a British special forces agent and also Shelby's close mercenary friend.

Passepartout worried and wanted to know what was going on??

"To make the long story short son, I had to guard against you interferring for fears of making you angry and only myself.

This man is Sawyer, and Shelby that I had a time travel device that had been passed along side from one generation to another.

I happen to be the great-great-great-great grandson of Herbert George, also known as H.G. Wells.

The writer and inventor of the time machine after I went in time and told these people who are seeing son that you were alive and well.

And that missing person posters were put on display in your native Paris and also London where you were a valet to this gentleman here??"

Shaw said as he introduced the man made famous by Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days, Mr Phileas Fogg.

"Passepartout, it is me here!! I am or was your master!! This woman(pointing to a woman who was an Indian princess with a blue dress and white shaw on her head), this is my wife Auoda.

You may not remember her but she remembers you dearly after you saved her from not only a loveless marriage but also from being burned alive at the stakes.

(Fogg tried to shake Passepartout's hand but Passepartout looked at him with skepticism and didn't return the handshake but Fogg understood though)We have been looking all over for you for the past eight months about.

We looked all over the world for you. Namely France, England, all over Europe, everywhere!! We thought you were dead. But with the invention of the time machine this century, Shaw told me that you were alive and well.

And then we didn't want the neighbors here to think that Shaw was nuts so we put your picture in the paper present day and when he should us the picture of you in our time, we were so, so, greatful that you had been found."

Phileas tried to hug Passepartout, in which Passepartout was reluctant but hugged him reluctantly.

The princess Auoda said: Passepartout, you also saved people on the train from Indians and risked your life and also you made sure that Phileas got back on time and not lose his bet going around the world in exactly 80 days.

Come to think of it you should had gotten all the credit and glory but Phileas got all the credit, which you thought that he should.

Without you, I would not be married to him and let him be the father of my two children. Oh, I am expecting again so that is the reason for my belly being so, so, big.

Passepartout saw and was introduced to Phileas, Auoda, a detective from Scotland Yard in his late fifties, early sixties named Wilbur Fix, who was with his wife, Millie, Sawyer, Shaw, Max, and a little oriental girl, whom Passepartout thought was Phileas'.

Passepartout was nervous, sweating all over his face, clothes, and/or body and was about to faint but saved himself somehow

"Look, it is all amusing but really I am happy here!! I think you all are very nice people but so, so, sorry you had to come out here on my behalf and please I think you better be going since you are all used to your century and I am home here. I really need to go and shower if you all don't mind excusing me!!(Jean all sweaty and worried and very disturbed with Shelby angry and upset at his mannerisms."

Then as Passepartout tried to walk away very disturbed and worried but Shaw blocked his path and Shelby held him by his right arm.

"PASSEPARTOUT!!" yelled Shelby punching his right arm
"How dare you??? These people came through a century, three decades or two decades and/or eight years, one millinieum, nearly three and a half to four years, and over sixteen hours, 12,000 miles, eight months, two weeks, and six days.

Just for one reason and one reason alone. Just to see that you are alive and well. These people were very, very, worried about you and thought that you were dead. They looked nearly eight months in both their time and our time just looking and worried about you.These people are your guests!! You don't ever, ever, treat guests like that?? That was rotten!! You apologize this instant Mr!!"

How dare you treat your guests rotten!! You wouldn't like that if they were on your side!! They came a long, long, long, I mean very, very, long way to see you because they were scared and worried!! They missed you so very, very, much!! You were on the evening news everywhere in your time and my time and they are so very, very, lucky that they didn't have to come and identify your body at a morgue, apoligize this instant son!!

"It's Ok, Miss Mitchell!! He has the right to get worried, confused, scared, and angry all at one time!!" said the gentle Mr Fix calming Shelby down and also understanding as well as everybody in the room.

"The Frenchboy has his whole entire life wiped away from him and it will take by what the good doc Shaw says, a long, long, time for him to regain any and/or all his memories back.

I saw your x-rays Passepartout, and you looked like your head was shattered in bits and pieces. Time will work on you, Frenchman!!"
Passepartout, feeling bad for being rude, sat down and asked about anything and all things.

Sawyer, who wore the same black suit and black dress shoes, with raybans sunglasses, with his British charm and humor, said

"Passepartout, I have read all about you and these people know more about you than anybody. Perhaps I can help you regain your memory back to you but only if you want it.

I will say you won't regain all of it but bits and parts of it since even though I had cure people of memory problems over a 97% rate, in the case of yours, it is a less than 5% chance of regaining all of it. I look at in-between the 25-30% category. But it would have to be in the morning though."

"It wouldn't hurt Passepartout!! Not all but a little would help!!" encouraged Shelby
Passepartout thought and thought and then said:

ll, ok but it is better a little than never. Besides what do I have back there that could possibly make me go back??

I was a professor, a circus rider and gymnastin the circus, martial arts, firefighter, singer, prior to being a valet in your service Monseiur Fogg and going around the world in 80 days with you and then with Detective Fix and you Madamoselle Princess Auoda!! But those things are past me now. I love it here and accepted here!!"


Sawyer motioned for Phileas to take what was supposed to be the little asian girl by the hand since Passe thought it was both Fogg's and Auoda's daughter.

Phileas: You see this little girl Passepartout?? She is six years old and her name is Priscilla.

Passepartout: Well, hello there little young one!! How are you doing(Passepartout taking little Priscilla's little hands!!)

Auoda: That little and beautiful young girl is your daughter!!
Passepartout's smile turned into a dropped mouth and opened eyes and a gasped from his mouth.

Phileas: I want to assure you Passepartout that you were and used to be married to a woman you loved name Madeline but now she ran off with a bunch of other men because she just couldn't put up with marriage and family.

You raised Madeline on your own when she was only three months old. You and Madeline couldn't have children of your own.

You both were married for eleven years and adopted her but marraige didn't fit your ex-wife. You were a doting dad and also a doting second father/uncle to both my and my wife's children. They call you "Uncle Passepartout".

We have a lot to talk about we all know and this is quite a shock to you. Let me talk with you as you show me the town.

Passepartout still surprised, scared, worried, and confused all at once said and added: Yes that would be fine
As he still touched gently his now learned upon little girl.

As Phileas and Passepartout went to a nearby coffee shop and drunk cappicino.

Something that was new to Phileas since, of course, he lived back in 1887.

Twelve years after the 80 Days journey, and he liked it and even though Passepartout had gotten used to also the second millienieum.

And, of course, all the technology a bit, made Phileas feel like a novice. But Phileas got down to buisness.

"Passepartout, you were the best valet not in my employment but also you served at least twelve or thirteen English houses before you settled with me in hopes of finding a quiet life and a quiet gentleman.

And even though this comes a little bit late, about nearly fifteen years late I am afraid, I am indeed very, very, sorry that I disappointed you and dragged you to go around the world with me in 80 days.

But I needed your help and also, a bit of a companion though. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't had accomplish the alloted time of 80 days and I would not had married Auoda. Did I tell you we have children, Passepartout??"

But then, you adopted Priscilla from Japan and you were a doting dad and did your best to be a loving husband but before you married and had Priscilla, you also ran around and chased other women and also was a womanizer.

Much less to the chargin of Madeline who almost left you but then you had to get down on your hands and knees and beg her not to leave you.

You changed when you got married and became a dad. Then Madeline, you didn't know it at the time, was having affairs behind your back and that also before, during, and now after, she has ran around with so, so, many men that I lost count after over thousands and thousands.

Also, you thought that she couldn't get pregnant, well, she had several children, out of wedlock behind your back and that the doctor who said that she couldn't had children, was one of the men who got her pregnant behind your back and had a child with him or two.

I don't know how she "faked her pregnancy" but she hid it very, very, well that you didn't know it either.(Passepartout's eyes opened wide and his jaw dropped open wide as well.)

I am caught between a rock and a hard place. Despite being comfortable here and making myself useful for not just Shelby but this whole entire town, I would hate to break her heart.

But at the same time Priscilla needs me back in the time period which I had come from.

I kind of am familiar with my native French and kind of wonder where I got my martial arts skills and/or gymnastics and valet skills. Though barely but the verdict is still out on whether Harris will regain all of my memory back but he says a less than 5% chance.

Maybe I am not meant to go back and/or maybe I am for my little girl's sake. I would go back only for her and if you need a valet, also for you, Auoda, and both of yours children. I will do anything you want Monseiur!!

Passepartout and Phileas spent several hours catching up on the "good times" as Aouda and Shelby talked and even though both were unfamiliar with each other's generation, cultures, and/or time periods, both women seemed to hit it off well as Auoda admitted something to Shelby.

Auoda: Shelby, you know I wished now that I had married Passepartout!! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be alive here talking to you.

Phileas told you that I was burned or almost burned alive at the stakes and that Passepartout rescued me. Also he saved a train of passengers from the Indians and also saved Phileas from losing his bet.

But Passepartout insisted that I marry Phileas and that I kind of am glad but still regret that Passepartout didn't get all the credit, glory, and/or applause but that is the way he wanted that to go instead of him to my husband.

That is the kind of man and character of integrity he is. Shelby, you will be lucky to land him if you do.

You know about him being a womanizer as Shaw and Sawyer had told you but then marriage calmed him down and also fatherhood. He ironically went missing on Priscilla's sixth birthday when he fell through a hole.

I don't think due to the thing that you call "x-rays"(Shelby nodded) his memory would either gain back at least 5-20% if he ever remembered and almost nearly dying due to his bruises, broken bones, and bleeding had you not found him Shelby.

When Madeline left him because she was much, much, more worse of a flirt than he was a womanizer before, during, and after marriage.

Passepartout shouldnn't had flirted with other women, probably over in-between 1,000-5,000 in his lifetime, before settling on Madeline, and also hiding her pregnancy several times during Passepartout's and Madeline's marriage!!

And don't know how but she managed to also hide it so, so, well and so, so, wonderfully great. She has several children don't know how many but several. Won't get into the story though. She has slept with over 10,000 men!!

That gave Shelby not just hope but keeping in her heart and soul that that whatever happens happens.

And when Phileas and Passepartout came home, they ate Shelby's roast, carrots, potatoes, and all of them seemed to eat heartily and ate really, really, like it was their first meal ever since Passepartout disappeared.

]Then as they talked, Sawyer told Shelby the same thing Shaw did but she kept both options at heart because this will entirely be up to Passepartout. As they spent the night at Shelby's small but comfortable apartment, Shelby layed awake all night.

But then Passepartout came and massaged her gently which made her sleepy as he could tell sadness and/or hurt in her eyes. "We shall see!!" whispered Shelby to herself.

THEY COULD LEAVE AND DO SOMETHING AND EVEN THE ALWAYS ON THE GO SHELBY GETS SLEEPY EVEN FROM HER OWN SPEECHES AND/OR TALKING ENGAGEMENTS, SHE NEEDED TO BE THERE FOR PASSEPARTOUT.

SO SHE WAS AND ALL OF THEM WERE WARNED TO BE QUIET AND ONLY MOVE IF THEY HAVE TO SILENTLY AND QUIETLY. THEN IT BEGAN AT 7:00 AM.

HARRIS HAD PASSEPARTOUT REMEMBER THINGS FROM HIS PAST.

THEN SHE WAS PREPARING A FIRE AND THEN THE FIRE GOT OUT OF CONTROL AND THE PREIST, HIS NAME WAS MONOSGOUER GERALD WAS VISITNG THE FAMILY AS THE FATHER WAS ALMOST DEAD AND GRABBED THE BABY FOR GERALD TO RAISE.

THE KINDLY PREIST RAISED HIM AND THOUGH THE OTHER BOYS DIDN'T WANT JEAN'S "DISEASE" AND GAVE HIM DIRTY LOOKS AND SAID CRUEL AND UNKIND THINGS TO HIM, THE PRIESTS AND NUNS WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE JEAN LOOKED UP TO.

JEAN ENDEARED UP TO FROM THE AGE OF 9, OVER 100 OPERATIONS ON HIS HEART UNTIL THE VERY, VERY, FIRST TRANSPLANT CAME UNTO HIS HEART AND THEN NOT ONLY DID HE HAD A BAD HEART.

THEY RESCUED NOW PHILEAS' AND MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN'S AUODA'S LIFE FROM BEING BURNED ALIVE WITH HER FORCED AND ALSO UNAHAPPY MARRIAGE TO HER "HUSBAND" AS PASSEPARTOUT PRETENDED TO BE HER "HUSBAND"
THEY WERE HELD HOSTAGE BY THE EGYPTIAN SHIEK FOR RESCUING HER.

Then also, both he and Fogg and Auoda were separated briefly but reunited
Then they almost were arrested by Fix for Fogg being a robber of the Bank of England for over 55,000 pounds but eventually cleared.

They thought they almost lost their bet but Passepartout going to a priest for Audoa and Fogg to get married, caught the mistake and eventually Fogg won and he and Auoda were married the next day

Passepartout also bravely stopped the train and saved the passengers from the American Indians
Fogg and Auoda would have two children and at the time of Passepartout's disappearance, adopted six kids of different origins and/or nationalities.

Fix also got married to his wife Millie and was like a grandfather to Fogg and Auoda's children and Passepartout and Madelaine's girl Priscilla

It was thought to had been that Madelaine couldn't have any children and both she and Passepartout tried but failed and went 11 years childless until Fix helped them out and they adopted Priscilla

After then, nobody and/or nothing mattered to Passepartout then to be a doting dad as he was a doting uncle to the Fogg children dubbed him, "Uncle Passe!! or Uncle Passepartout!!"

Then Passepartout, who had quit his womanizing thanks to marriage and fatherhood, found out that Madeline wanted out of their marriage and wanted nothing to do with either him nor Priscilla.

And just walked out on both of them when Priscilla was only seven months old.

Passepartout pratically raised Priscilla on his own and raised her right that she is a straight-A student and reads since she is only six on a 10th grade level

Also, Madeline has been flirting and sleeping with over 5,000 men before, during, and after her and Passepartout's marriage.

Madeline also hid her pregnancy as she was pregnant three or four times and it isn't known how she hid the pregnancy as she fooled everybody, especially Passepartout.

After the "break-up of her three marriages" and theirs as well, she has gone onto marry again but only for money and not for love. She has married at least no marriage has lasted at least two years, seven times!!

Passepartout then regretted marrying her as he and also Priscilla didn't want anything to do with Madelaine and also got a restraining order against his former wife.

Then Passepartout was growing hot and sweaty by the moment then remembered the birthday, his daughter's sixth birthday, the day he disappeared
He, Phileas, Wilbur, Auoda, and Millie were planning a birthday for her and her friends.

Then as Passepartout went out to buy some birthday stuff, he then noticed four men following him either they were the police and/or thugs
They were men who were looking after Passepartout and they fought with Passepartout

Passepartout tried to beat them up with his martial arts but the men were too powering and badly beat Passepartout to the ground breaking almost every bone, big and/or small, in his body from head to toe
Then they ripped his clothes and nearly beat him on the verge of death.

Then he layed there what seemed days and days out to dry and also to die
Then he got back up hurting, bleeding, and very, very, badly beaten to the max
As he was looking for help, he fell down a hole, a very, very, huge hole

He felt as though he was dropping over thousands and thousands of feet in the air
Then he fell real, real, hard like on a hard concrete sidewalk that nearly killed him and crushed his whole entire skull that was the reason of him having rare amnesia.

"I know remember that those men beat me up so that I could have no contact with Priscilla. (Turning to Priscilla)Oh, honey, I am so, so, sorry that I missed your birthday party!! Don't think I was out partying somewhere else and....."

"Don't worry daddy!! I know you are not that kind of daddy!!" said a sweet and understanding Priscilla hugging a nervous and weeping Passepartout.

"BTW, Passepartout they caught those men who badly beaten you to death and they confessed that they put in a hole that leads to time travel so that you would have no contact in any shape, size, and/or form with Priscilla.

Jean, Madelaine was also the mastermind as you guessed and everybody had missing signs for you everywhere in all of Europe!!"

Auoda: It's ok Passepartout to worry. It wasn't your fault at all. To be honest what you went through and now how I have heard a lot of good things about you from this whole entire town.

I would hate to see the looks on their faces if they lost a valuable member and if you left and go back to your century. But that decision will fall on you because Phileas, me, nor Priscilla and Shelby can't make that for you!!

Phileas: Passepartout, I can't make the decisions for you anymore if I am and/or won't ever be your master again. You and I and my wife and children will still be close and hold you close to our hearts and we also to your heart.

But whatever happens happens and we all have nothing to do and it will be out of our hands because we would have no choice but to accept that choice you make Jean!!

Passepartout then thought and thought and then asked if he could take Priscilla out for a few hours to get "her opinion" because the town in present day would be sad to see him go but also the only thing that is holding him back is his daughter.

Both of them went to get a milkshake as Priscilla seemed to love it. That kind of reminded him of the doting dad that he was and is and always will be no matter what occurs.

Priscilla: Daddy, I want you to know that Aunt Shelby tells me nothing but good things about this whole entire town and the residents and also this town is too good to be true!!

Whatever happens to you and me I want you to know that I will go wherever you want to go and do whatever you want to do. I would miss my friends as school but also I can make new ones.

Besides whatever happened back in the past, I kind of don't want to go there anymore. Bad memories of mommy or she ain't and isn't my mommy anymore. I stayed up nights crying and thinking that I wouldn't see you anymore.

The one bad thing about the past is there are more bad things then good. If we live here. I want to erase all of those memories but also a new start for the two of us.

Passepartout: Oh, honey!! I want what is best for us too. The only way that could convince me is not Shelby, not your Aunt Auoda nor Uncle Phileas nor Wilbur and Mildred but you.

Phileas: That will be Passepartout's choice!! If he wants to be my servant that is fine but I don't have any and all control over him since he is the one that will have to make that decision since it is out of not just your hands but even if I were his master.

I have no control over him and if he does come back in my employment, I will treat him more like a family member and friend instead of just only my servant. He may come off arrogant and rude but that is part of being a Frenchman.

He has really, really, changed since he has been with you Shelby. Not that he has done no harm nor foul. He really has watched your moves, your words, everything and seems more comfortable here but the decision will have to be his.

I have no control over him even if he was or return as my servant as he wears his heart on his sleeve.

Passepartout: This will be much more painful for me to say this than for you all to hear this but I have been doing a lot of thinking. More thinking than you should and/or will ever know. I am doing this not just for my sake but mainly for the sake of my little girl amnesia or no amnesia.

I am afraid that I don't remember all those things that Harris told me about though I admit I am kind of proud to have been all of those things.

I don't remember being in the circus, a valet, a teacher, an orphan, a lingust, whatever because to me, those things.

I don't even remember when I lost my memory and am afraid due to almost every bone in my body being broke won't ever, ever, restore back all of the memories either good and/or bad to me because I forgot almost all of them.

Not even going around the world in 80 days I don't remember for not even any and all days you, Phileas and Auoda, when we saved you Auoda, when we were saved from Indians, when you two got married, don't even remember you Wilbur or Mildred.

I am so, so, sorry(Jean's voice crackling) but even though those memories are precious to you and I would love for them to be precious for me.

I just don't remember all those days before, during, nor after the trip or even my days at foster homes, schools, in the circus, anything and probably won't.

I feel so, so, comfortable here but also back in the nineteenth century is where I have my daughter so that is the reason to go back is for her. But she told me to pick from not what other people say but what not just I want but also what she wants and what would best suit her.

Auoda: I hate to let you go after you were so, so, brave and not just as a servant but a loving uncle, loving father, and an all around excellent man!!

I accept your honesty and truthfulness because you do belong here and I couldn't look at the faces of the other people in this town because if you went, everybody would be sad, very, very, sad.

Especially her(Audoa pointing to Shelby) Oh, Jean I love you!!(Auoda and Passepartout crying and holding each other saying good bye!!)
Phileas: Well, I better start calling you by your first name and please, it's Phileas
Jean: OK, Phileas!!(Both men embraced)

Wilbur: You and I despite our differences, want you and Shelby even and Priscilla to visit with us and to also don't be a stranger please Jean!!
Jean: Wilbur!! We may have been a lot of things but I look back at the 80 Days as doing your duty and wanting to marry Millie.

No harm no foul!! We may be like you said a lot of things but never, ever, were we ever strangers. Never have, never had, and never will. (Wilbur hugging Jean)
All of them embrace one another with Shelby joining the group.

Harris: As much as he has and had done back in the 1800's, I couldn't imagine the look on his face if he went back there because things wouldn't be the same and instead of feeling like he was in his own time and/or life, a total stranger.

This way he will start a brand new life here Shelby.

You are the whole entire reason. It is time for Phileas and his family to let Passepartout go because Jean is much needed here than there.(Harris whispered to Shelby in her ear!!)

Shelby: I know Harris!! I know!! Passepartout's story is only just beginning. A new life for a Frenchman!!

EVERYBODY SPENT THE WHOLE ENTIRE DAY DOING THEIR BEST TO ACCEPT PASSEPARTOUT'S DECISION AND HOPED THAT THERE WERE NO HARD FEELINGS AGAINST EACH OTHER.

AND/OR EVERYBODY ELSE BUT EVERYBODY, ESPECIALLY PHILEAS, UNDERSTOOD IF HE WENT BACK THERE, HE WOULD HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN AND THAT THEY ALL FELT THAT HE COULDN'T DO THAT AT ALL

IT WOULD BE LIKE A SECOND "AMNESIA" TO HIM NO MATTER HOW LONG HE LIVED DURING THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. THEY ALL SAW HIM BEING VERY, VERY, COMFORTABLE AND HAPPY.

NOT THAT HE WAS HAPPY BACK IN THE 1800'S BUT THEY FELT THAT HE NOT ONLY BELONGED IN 2004 AND THE SECOND MILLINEIUM.

BUT IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY BUT MAINLY WITH SHELBY BECAUSE SHELBY WOULD HAD BEEN SO, SO, DEVESTATED.

AND SO, SO, HEARTBROKEN IF HE WENT BACK TO HIS OWN CENTURY, AMNESIA OR NO AMNESIA. BECAUSE HERE AT CONTEMPORARY PRESENT TIME WAS WHERE SHE BELONGED.

Then the time had come where Phileas, Auoda, Wilbur and Mildred dreaded. They would have to go back without their now former and very, very, resourceful and the best valet that they have ever, ever, had.

They had no other alternative and no matter how many thousands and thousands of stories about him, nothing and/or most of all, nobody could and would convince him to come back with them. They had to let him go and make his own decisions.

Wilbur: Like I said, Despite our differences and despite everything that has happened to us all, don't ever, ever, be a stranger to us at all. Please, keep in touch with us and don't be afraid to knock on the door because the door will always be open for you and your girlfriend.

Whether you decide you want to go back to your own time permanantly or just visiting and walking on by, you are always welcomed.

Passepartout: Like you said we may be a lot of things but never, ever strangers at all and the door will always be open for you and Mildred. Always and forever!!(Both shook hands and then kissed each other on the cheeks. The same he did for Mildred)


Auoda: Please come by and visit your nephews and nieces because they have heard so, so, many excellent and wonderful stories about you. Like Wilbur says, don't be a stranger to us. Feel free to come back anyday, at anytime, all the time. The children would love to have you.

Passepartout: I would love to meet them and spend time with them and hope that they will come here too if you and Phileas like!!
Auoda: Of course, absolutely!!

Passepartout: Bidding you all farewell is very and much more painful for me as it is much more for you all!! I will cherish and keep you all in my heart and will be thinking about you all day in, day out, everyday, everytime, all the time!!

Auoda: Au revior Jean!!
Passepartout: Farewell, Auoda!! Keep in touch(Passepartout kissed Auoda on the cheek as both were crying, as with everybody else was crying, even the always cool, calm, and collected Phileas, who was crying even more harder!!)

Saywer: I hate to break up this gentle gathering but we must be going in a minute so you all go ahead and get your things. Shelby I will see you in a few hours. (Whispering to Passepartout: You are one lucky guy kid!! A bloody lucky guy indeed!!)

Shaw: See you both two. Must help them out in going back and making sure they all reach the late 1880's.
Passepartout: See you Shaw in a few hours.

Phileas: I know no matter how many, many times I keep begging you to come back with us, no matter what I say or what and/or how Auoda, Wilbur, and everybody else at the Reform Club which is now open to women thank goodness we all do, and since you are no longer under my command and under my watch.

And I am no longer your master and employer, do you mind if I hug you very, very, hard though this won't be the last time we see each other, I won't be coming back to the 1880's without my very, very, resourceful, loyal, and in my book, number #1 manservant, do you mind??

Passepartout and Phileas embraced each other and Passepartout kissed him on both sides because that was customary for Frenchpeople
Phileas: Au revior my great manservant
Passepartout: I am no longer your servant but a friend and buddy for you

Phileas: Oh, yes you are and you will forever be!! Take care of the people who love you and the people who trust you!!

Passepartout: That's a promise Phileas
Phileas: Better go and not let the kids be waiting anymore longer than they wait. Here, this is a picture of the kids I am pulling out of my pocket. Please, take it, I insist!! Put it in your pocket or put it in a picture frame.

(Passepartout taking the pictures):Beautiful children indeed!! I will carry this picture not only in my pocket but in my heart as I will have you all in my heart and soul!!
Phileas: Better go!!

Then as all were leaving the time machine to go back to the nineteenth century, Passepartout, Priscilla, and Shelby held each other close since now this would be Jean's permanent home.

The man who had moved around all over the whole entire world his whole entire life and never having to call anyplace, even his tiny apartment next to the Fogg's, now had a permanent roof over his head.

Passepartout(weeping silently): We will be together again and we will always keep each other in our hearts and minds, always and forever!! Nothing and/or nobody can and will never, ever, prevent us from that!! Ever!!

Then, as both Passepartout and Shelby said their good-byes to Audoa, Mildred, Phileas, and Wilbur tearfully, both knew and promised that they would see their loved ones both in the nineteenth century and in present time 21st century.

Then as Passepartout held Shelby and as Shelby held Passepartout, both knew that they were meant for each other and wanted to include Little Priscilla in their involvement.

Passepartout would be very, very, devestated as would Shelby if both had to say their good-byes and he would go back to his own century and no matter how many accomplishments, jobs, and/or praises that Passepartout received and gotten.

Those he knew would go away in a heartbeat but his love for Shelby would last a whole entire lifetime and that he planned and intent on staying true and loyal to her as Shelby was with and to him.

But most of all and more importantly, for Priscilla as well because Shelby and Priscilla were like not just mother and daughter but sisters and best friends.

Even though, Passepartout would even get comfortable back in his own time, those accomplishments and those praises, as much as Phileas and everybody talked about them almost all of the time.

Passepartout, due to his amnesia, could and would never, ever, remember again!!

Not even a slight reminder because those things and even his days as an orphan and the jobs he held were and now and afraid always will be never, ever to be remembered as those memories are sadly erased forever and ever from his mind.

Even if he tried to remember, nothing and/or nobody could ever, ever, bring back those memories for him as he doesn't remember at all those things from his childhood, teen-age years, younger years.

And before he had amnesia. What he now remembers is things of the present and comtemporary things. And hopefully, things for the future.

Shelby: Passe, be honest and truthful with me but did you remember those things that you told Priscilla about her and the times that you spent with her made up or really did you remember.

I know if it was the first thing, I would understand.
Passepartout put in a very, very, long pause before he answered.

Passepartout: Shelby, no I didn't at all. I wanted her to be comforted and wanted her to know that she means the whole entire world to me and even though I don't even remember those days like when my former wife and I adopted her.

When Madaline left me and her, and all the places and things I did for and with her could if I even tried, never, ever remember all of those things for the rest of my life until I go to my grave and they have sadly been erased from my memory.

And if I could, look at the pictures that are now back with Phileas and Auoda, not even looking at pictures could bring back those memories since I will have amnesia for the rest of my life I am afraid.

I do kind of remember being the doting dad that she wants and the parent that she wants me to be.

Shelby: I know that nobody and/or nothing can and ever bring back those memories to you and looking at pictures wouldn't even help though they might try, you made so many, many, differences in the lives of those to whom you came and come and will always come in contact with.

What is good is that you remember the present time and now you remember having both me and Priscilla in your lives and remember to stay in touch with Phileas, Auoda, their kids, Wilbur and Mildred. Your past is past but your present and future have only just begun Jean.

Passepartout: Yes!! Not just for me but for you, the town, and most of all, Priscilla. I love you more than you can and ever will know Shelby!!
Shelby: I love you too Jean Passepartout!!
Passepartout: I love you Shelby Mitchell!!(kissing and hugging each other and with Priscilla)

Both kissed and hugged each other so, so, hard and so, so, gently and warmly that both accidentally woke up Priscilla but both wanted to include Passepartout's little girl.

Many chapters have closed for the trio both in their pasts and another chapter has just only begun.

It has been three months after Phileas, Auoda, Wilbur, & Mildred left and Shelby and Passepartout have grown much more stronger and much more close as a couple as they ever had been and hopefully for the two of them, ever will be.

Shaw told both of them that Jean was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia because of this, he would never, ever, remember those "good ole days".

When he was a baby, a tiny boy raised in an orphanage, but also very, very, sickly, a teenager, a young man from Paris, traveling thorough over sixty countries, his former jobs as valet, gymnast, teacher, sensei, singer, circus rider, firefighter, translator, chef, etc, his drinking and womanizing ways, his former wife, nothing at all.

That kind of amnesia will never, ever, bring back the "old Passepartout and once, in Jean's words, the athletic, muscular, and very, brave, loyal, faithful, and trustful young man that he was.

But to Phileas, Shelby, Shaw, and even, Jean, that was ok with them because they come to embrace the "mellowed out, gentlemanly(more now new than the old), lovable, and doting" man that he is now.

There are three most important roles he loved more than any of his former roles: friend, boyfriend, and most of all, doting and loving dad to his little girl Priscilla.

But Passepartout and Shelby made a pact never to have sex and give each other the night of virginity when and where they officially tie the knot as both weren't eager for that step at all. He was wanting to really take his time as was she and also he wanted to do it the right way as she did.

Priscilla was a straight A student and despite her age of nearly seven years old, she was reading on a freshman in high school level and even she tutored the middle and high school kids and that if she kept this up, she would be in college as up to thirty colleges were showing interest.

Jean wanted to give his little girl the education but also the love, time, and attention that he never, ever, had when he was a little boy. He was a doting dad before his amnesia but now Priscilla meant more to him than ever, ever, before.

Shelby, despite doing her best to stay in the "stepparent" role, Priscilla looked up to her as her REAL MOTHER as she severed all ties with her real mom.

And looked up to Shelby as a mother, sister, aunt, mentor, teacher, and counselor as she needed help and showed Priscilla the "been there and done that" routine.

And wanted Priscilla, despite her intelligence and articulatcy, to be a normal kid and she was very, very, popular with other children and well respected for someone her age. Everybody wanted a "piece of her" just like Passepartout. Passepartout and Shelby enjoyed each other's company more.

Passepartout and Shelby are also doing their best to adopt Adam's kids since their mother is in jail and Trotter no longer hurts them. They are in a foster home and since both aren't married, both hope to make that a reality since they want to get married but are taking their friendship turned relationship one step at a time.

But both visit the kids are the foster home they are in and have their foster parents kind and sweet since their own children now moved out and have families of their own and/or go to college.

Then there is Priscilla as Passepartout is the doting dad and Shelby is there and acts like her real mother that when both she and Jean get married, they will adopt her into their own name and severe all ties with his ex wife.

Both want what is best for Priscilla as they both are saving their marriage even though they live under her apartmen, he sleeps with Priscilla and Shelby sleeps on a couch since they got the bed for both Priscilla and her daddy to give each other virginity when they do marry.
