Does anyone like Mark Mejia on Star Search? I think he's awesome!

I try to keep up with it, but sometimes I miss the episodes. The last time I watched there was a little Asian boy on there that had an awesome voice. Who was Mark?

Mark Mejia is the boy who is short, and has brown skin, and he has black hair. He didn't sing last week. but he'll sing next Saturday on the finals! I can't wait!!

I coulda sworn it was announced that this show was cancelled months ago. What brought it back? I watched practically every episode last season, but I don't like how now there is only 3 judges. America should still vote too.

Star Search was cancled, but it started again just not too long ago.
I don't know what brought it back, but I'm glad it's back!!

Why did you automatically assume he was fired? Weirdness. Anyhoo, he did the ORIGINAL star search from 1983 until 1995. 7 years later, probably because of American Idol, they decided to bring it back.

Ed is definitely better to me. You have heard of Ed McMahon right? It seems some people, even my age don't know who he is. He was best known for being the announcer on Johnny Carson--his big phrase was "Heeeeeeeres Johnny!" (When Johnny Carson retired Jay Leno took over the Tonight Show.) He also did Publisher Clearing House (that contest that comes in the mail and you can win $10 million.) with Dick Clark in the 90s. He has done plenty more too, I'm just naming the big stuff I remember.

I don't wish he returned to Star Search though. I'm pretty much off of that show anyways. The original from 83-95 had it's time--now it's over. Putting Arseno in the new one was just fine. I watched the first season with him, and it's been so long since Ed did it, it wasn't terribly strange seeing someone new.

He's at least part Asian--maybe Filipino.
