THE FOOL TOOK THE GIRL AROUND HIS FRIENDS and she was not his girl yet. Why would he do something so DUMB? He made it very obvious that he never had a girlfriend and that is why he wanted his friends to see that side of him. What a idiot

No, I think he didnt get picked because he was the not so good looking guy. I mean, it always works out so that the better looking person wins. That's just tv, and the way society thinks.

Taking her around his friends didn't help his chances at all.

Yes, not helping his chances, is a better way to put it. Of course it wasn't the main reason she got rid of him. But it was very foolish to do such a thing. And what was with him doing the whole "poor your heart out early on" ordeal with her? When will all the guys of the world finally realize that is not how you gain a girl's interest. "Oh, I've only known you for a short time, but I just haven't felt this way about anyone before... you're so special. blah blah, freaking blah." This wasn't that Boston Chump's exact words of course, but he went on and on about his "strong feelings" like some nerdy guys tend to do. And by "nerdy," I mean ANY guy who thinks saying such "sensitive" and personal things early on is a good thing--whether they are gorgeous or not so gorgeous, it hurts themselves bad.
