After scanning the Square Pegs DVD's for defects, you were right about the video quality. Very superb and the colors were strong and vivid for an early 1980s short-lived TV series.

Two questions:

1.) The Muppet Show (Season 3), are there any music rights issues associated with the set?

2.) The Three Stooges Complete Collection Volume 2 was released Tuesday (5/27). Will there be a review or at least a mini-DVD review at the S.O. Blogs?

I forgot to mention How I Met Your Mother - reading the reviews before the DVD comes out is much funner, but when a stuido is slow, what else can you do?

Is there going to be a review of Designing Women? I've seen rumors on the IMDB boards that they used syndicated versions. But there wasn't a disclaimer like there was on Rhoda (Deepdiscount.com shipped my set on Fri!), so I'm not 100% sure what the story is.

This review for this set clearly states that the episodes come in at 23-24 minutes. None of them come in at 22 minutes, like those people at IMDB claimed.

...I find this fascinating. I've never thought of reviews as anything more than a tool to see if it's worth someone spending their hard earned money on the product. If I may be so curious, what is it that draws you to read them *after* the fact?

I do this all the time. I think in the end, no matter how bad or good the review is, I'm going to buy a show on DVD that I really like, that I really want to own. I just think it's interesting to see the reviewer's viewers on the set and the show

Same for me.

I'm always interested to see what the reviewer has to say about the show, his or her opinion on the most memorable or favorite episodes of a season, and what they think of the product as a whole. I can't count the number of times I've come on here an read the reviews to DVD's I had bought months or years before!


P.S. Season Six of Reba is currently on sale for $16.99 through this Tuesday! I couldn't not buy it for that price. Best Buy had it for $20.

Any word on when the review for Mr. Belvedere: Season Three will come out? I'm concerned about how the episodes have been handled, especially one in particular that has Robert Goulet as a guest star. The episode in question is supposed to have a number performed by him, Marsha (who turns out to have a great singing voice in that episode), and George (whom, unlike Marsha, does not).

Also, one thing I forgot to tell Pavan when he reviewed the previous set: The season three opening was also never used in syndication. It showed photos of Tracy Wells (with short hair) with her hand resting on her chin. I saw it on bobtwcatlanta's YouTube account.

And Pav, if you're reading this, I just wanna tell you that I'm sorry for bothering you so much earlier this year.
