Who should play Patrick and Alex's dads?

Now that we've seen Susan Sullivan as Patrick's mom and we know that Cybill Shepherd will play Alex's mom, here's the inevitable question - who should play their dads? I don't have a clue as to who should play Alex's dad - Alex Rocco, maybe? - but I defintely have an idea of who should play Patrick's dad. I nominate William Devane for that role.

Anyone want to second that? :)

I think, seeing as Cybill is Alex's mother, Bruce Willis would be a nice choice for the father. ;)

I think Bruce looks a little too young....he has aged much better than Cybil IMO.

He already played Mike Burton's father on "Ed," but that's actually a good idea too. :)

I definitely second that one! William Devane all the way! :) I've always liked him. He's a great character actor. I can imagine him playing someone Mrs. Owen would not get along with, too. She was disgusted with Patrick's father at the beginning of "Meet the Parent." Sounded like he had had an affair a while back.

As for Mr. Baldzikowski...I really have no intelligent idea at the moment. Who would best compliment (or is that complement? Can never tell) Cybill Shephard's Suzanne? Bruce Willis is an interesting choice, of course, given the shared Moonlighting background. I don't know why, but I see him guest starring as himself more than I do filling the role as Alex and Cheri's father. If he did, though, do we picture him with or without hair? ;)
